I think the PM’s address could have been handled better. He just created a panic situation, even if temporarily but there is no way stocks will be managed with people hoarding up and with the police not knowing what exactly to do with what shops. For the grocery shop to remain open, the supplies have to come in and in larger quantities than usual. For that to happen, all factories involved would have to be kept open. The administration has to first get to grips with the rules and streamline them which would have happened in a few days. Should have just added more districts to the 70 odd already in shutdown and maybe announced an extension by around Sunday. 3 weeks is a long time and people will panic, it’s easy for the PM to say “don’t panic”, he’s achieved the exact opposite of what he wanted. Either the PM is badly advised or he doesn’t listen. This was unnecessary.

If this figure holds and with further 21 Days lock down we are very much out of the MESS.
