As a hardcore non veggie my respect for Indian vegetarianism went up manifold.
We chose on a large scale so far back, to be kind to animals and adopt a healthy, non animal based diet whereas other historically rich countries like Chini or Europeans were disgusting animals who ate anything and horribly cruel to other creatures.

Its not good econmically or logically to DUMP the revenue flow...if you are thinking business wise than humanitarian wise.

I guess NRIs are of two types: 1) Patriotic 2) India-hating just as resident indians are.

I see no reason why i should be thankful to any NRI for his remittances. His remittances are his remittances, he is not doing any charity. Most NRIs are kings and emperors only because 1 $ = 70 Rs. With that 1$=70 Rs equation, the NRI "invests" in real estate in India driving up the price of one of the essential things in life ie a roof over head. Who benefits from that? The corrupt builders and the corrupt politicians. At this point, the point that comes up is "But what about the employement in real estate industry"? Sorry, boss, we need an "inclusive" model of employement and not just skewed employment in real estate sector.


In my experience, out of the NRIs, the minority NRI is that NRI who went to US/EU with full scholarship. Rest of them, the majority are smarties (who are good salesmen) who jump the ship as it suits them. Nothing wrong with that, but my "thanks" don't come for that. Some of these NRIs cannot even speak in English properly despite staying in US for 6-7 years, they are so qualified! I give a damn to them everyday. I have given them damn for last 20 years!

One month rent is nothing in what difficulty what you going to face, no point in stuck with one month rent spent on a rented facility.

Better spend some bucks and get out of worries and horror of stranded alone without any supplies.

That’s just excuse. We hate the brits too, also pakis too. But still we don’t wish them like that. At least not at society level. Individuals may do so but not open display in malls and shopping centres.

Without a single NRI in US/EU, the americans/ germans/ europerans would come to india and set shop here. They already did many years back.

It's just my opinon, NRIs are insignificant for India on any day. Probably India is the only country where the people believe NRIs are some God-sent manna-from-heaven and Govt treats them with candies (Seetha mata recently reverted some tax for NRIs that was proposed earlier by her!)
