March 22 to March 29 is crucial for India and few other countries if we escape March 29 with less than 5000 cases we have started flattening the curve .

i think you overlooked a very key thing - without global demand china is zero since its muscle is in cheap manufacturing for global giants. If west collapses, demand and buying collapses, and with it chinese relevance. Its all interlinked. China cannot be a superpower 'on its own'.

This thing could have been stopped long time ago had China come clean during the early stages. Now, it will require drastic measure. I agree with you. It is better to do a lock down now. Every movement and containment needs to be enforced with military style discipline.

I am guessing this lockdown stuff you are talking about is based on what happened in China. Be advised the data from China is not to be trusted.

Italy and Iran are the go to countries for this.
