No its not as comparing colonial rules and planned virus spreading from third country . You had let the virus spread across the world and today laughing at others you were crying in Feb when few countries issued travel ban and today you are mocking others when they issue travel ban .

i never came across chinese in real life . i was thinking all these days only CCP is arrogant thugs . But after seeing you information war bots the way you mocking others and trying to feel like you have nothing to do with this pandemic , Its not CCP its entire chinese community is filled with arrogant thugs .

How much payment did you get from Spain, Japan and USA ruling? I think it's more reasonable than this virus.

I only find this news:

How does a virus end without a vaccine?
It almost ends in China after 600 million people stay home for 45 days, the China paid heavy price economically. Rest places except Hubei Province are almost back to normal, there are 0 local case for 4 days.

Historical speaking, there are three ways:
1. It just stop after killed enough people. Just like black disease and SARS, you isolated people till it fed away.
2. Medicine to cure people, like Remdesivir from Gilead Sciences
3. Vaccine from lab

Till now there are still no medicine and vaccine for SARS, but we still can say the SARS ended.

URGENT

Iranian care personnel are courageously battling #COVID19 on frontlines

Their efforts are stymied by vast shortages caused by restrictions on our people's access to medicine/equipment

Most urgent needs are outlined below

Viruses don't discriminate. Nor should humankind

That’s the back up plan which was activated yesterday, because airport clearances didn’t happen on time.

Instead of testing happening there, swabs are being brought back here.

Material and personnel are ready to go, awaiting clearance.

How does a virus end without a vaccine?
Thats just the chinese way of brushing it under the carpet theory as usual.
chinese managed to bring it under control..thats all...the spread part..but the risk is larger and mutated till there is an effective vaccine against it.

All nations scramble for solutions as ‘Made in China’ coronavirus spreads

The saddest part is that mankind is unlikely to have learnt any lessons, as in the past

One fine morning, Joseph Stalin, then the all-powerful general secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, could not find his watch and he promptly alerted Lavrentiy Beria, the much-feared head of the KGB. But he found it soon afterwards, and told Beria so. “Too late, Comrade Stalin”, the KGB boss intoned, “five people have already confessed and have been executed”. While this incident may have been a mere figment of the popular imagination – and Russians have an exceptional ability of making light of hardship or adversity -- the fact remains that totalitarian regimes are adept at the extraction and suppression of information, especially of the adverse kind.

This tendency appears to have been at play at Wuhan and caused the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic. It has ravaged the city, consumed over 3,000 lives in China alone and set alarm bells ringing across the globe.

In all fairness, the coverup instinct is not confined to authoritarian regimes.
The Fukushima nuclear incident in Japan, for example, took place in March 2011. The power plant was operated by Tokyo Electric Power Co (Tepco). It resulted in three nuclear meltdowns and leakage of radioactive materials that contaminated vast stretches of land and marine life. The president of Tepco admitted in June 2016 that the company covered up the meltdown.

A total of 103,168 (including 80,695 in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau) confirmed cases of coronavirus infection including 3,507 deaths (3,097 in China, 145 in Iran, 230 in Italy, 50 in South Korea, 13 in Japan, 19 in the United States, plus other countries) have been reported across the world as of March 7. It has now spread to more than 100 countries.

Coronavirus was first reported in Wuhan (in China’s Hubei province) in late 2019. When the first case appeared in early December, Wuhan officials threatened and gagged the doctors from alerting the public. Coronaviruses are common in animals and can sometimes spread to humans. By the time the authorities issued warnings and alerted WHO on December 31, the virus had already spread to an unmanageable level. By January 30, every Chinese province had been afflicted.

This is not the first time that the world has been “gifted” a deadly virus of Chinese origin. An epidemic of SARS, or Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV), affected 26 countries and resulted in more than 8,000 cases in 2003. It was again an animal virus, that was transmitted to humans first in the Chinese province of Guangdong.

We now know that coronavirus continued to spread unchecked within and outside China, for one month, as China enforced silence and struggled to get a handle on the problem. Here it becomes important to contextualise. Over 5.5 billion Chinese travel annually within the country. More than 160 million Chinese travel abroad, and over 140 million overseas visitors come to China. It is scary to realise that in December 2019, tens of thousands of unsuspecting carriers continued to travel all over, compromising their own health and safety as also that of others.

The reaction of nations and individuals, in coping with virus, is also a study in contrast. Billionaire philanthropist Bill Gates states that the coronavirus has started to behave like a “once-in-a-century” pathogen. As usual, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation quickly rose to the occasion, pledging $100 million to fight the outbreak.

Several countries, including India, reached out to China with offers of help and support. Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote to President Xi Jinping offering assistance. The spokesman of India’s external affairs ministry noted that India had always been the first responder for its neighbours and friends in times of crises. It was in that spirit that “we are ready to dispatch the relief package as our token of support to China….” On February 25, an Indian Air Force C-17 transport aircraft delivered 15 tonnes of medical supplies to China, comprising mostly of masks, gloves and other emergency medical equipment. The aircraft also ferried back 76 Indian nationals from Wuhan, in addition to 23 nationals from Bangladesh, six from China and other nations. The aircraft had to wait for a week for Chinese clearance. India had evacuated 647 of its nationals and seven Maldivians earlier in February. New Delhi was also diligent in temporarily suspending visas for all those resident in China, as well as flights to and from that country. These precautions have helped so far, though there is no room for complacency.

On the other hand, fearful of upsetting its benefactor and ally, Pakistan decided against evacuating close to 1,000 of its students in and around Wuhan, disregarding their entreaties and that of their parents. China has lauded its “iron ally” Pakistan’s decision.

Surprisingly, even South Korea, which is keen on President Xi Jinping’s visit in April, chose the appeasement route in allowing flights to and from China to continue. The South Korean embassy in Beijing put up a banner proclaiming – “Chinese difficulties are ours”. Beijing is naturally pleased, but Seoul has ended up paying a huge price. South Korea has reported a total of 7,134 cases of coronavirus, 367 on March 7 alone, causing 50 fatalities.

Confronted with such an epidemic, the Chinese President was forced to admit that the outbreak revealed “obvious shortcomings”. He appeared as anxious to prevent an economic slowdown, exhorting workers to return and the factories to resume production. However, the people’s confidence in the ruling Communist Party and the administrative machinery is really shaken.

“The window of opportunity (to contain the outbreak) may be closing,” WHO’s director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said in Geneva recently. On the ground, there are mixed indications. It is possible that new cases may be declining, at least in China. Mercifully, the prevalent virus is mild in form. All the same, the situation remains fluid. The saddest part is that mankind is unlikely to have learnt any lessons, as in the past.

1. It's still a big question mark whether it started from China, or somewhere else:

US CDC director says some coronavirus-related deaths have been found posthumously

https://edition.cnn.com/world/live-...0-intl-hnk/h_1319f66f92245a2fe4ec63fe91ab66c9

Since just 1 week before the 1st case found in Wuhan, there were World Military Game 2019:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019_Military_World_Games

2. No doubt the government in Wuhan made mistakes and i really hate it (as pure Wuhanese), but it was trying to repair it asap.

That's why China is now sending Med teams to all over the world, for preventing the same thing happend in other nations. If you feel it's a show off, you can complaint to WHO.

3. Sad to see even lessons are there, some nations refuse to learn and failed to stop it, just like Iran and Italy they are copying the mistakes. Which means any government make mistake no matter it's democratic or ruling by CCP.

4. There is not legal case for compesation in the world, otherwise the whole US assests will belong to American Indians.

Man...I have a question for you. Do you know who America is named after? Do you know who "discovered" America and started the whole mess?
I know who it's named after. I also know for whom he did his journey across the pond for, and it was not for or under the flag of the yet non-existent Italy. FYI, Italy was only formed in the mid-19th century.

Also, you better recheck your misguided idea on 'who "discovered" America' for America was first discovered 24,500 years earlier by hunters and gatherers from Siberia, way before the anciet Egyptians, Greeks, Chinese or Indian civilizations, especially way before Portugal became a Kingdom.

How hackers are using coronavirus panic to target India through WhatsApp and email
Sanya Dhingra -
6-7 minutes

New Delhi: COVID-19 is spreading more than just one kind of virus.

While WHO officially declared the situation a pandemic Wednesday, panic about contracting the infection has been hanging in the air for months now. This has presented hackers with the opportunity to spam people with messages/emails that under the guise of health information target sensitive data.

Hackers have been luring Indians and users in other countries with WhatsApp and email messages that have malicious malware embedded in it. Once clicked on, the malware gets on a victim’s computer/phone and gives hackers access to information such as passwords, bank details, credit card numbers, etc. One such malware has been linked to hackers backed by North Korea.

According to a study by Subex, a Bengaluru-based telecom analytics firm, hackers have also targeted organisations in manufacturing and the power sector.

Ransomware ‘Locky’
Subex tracked down a malicious email dated 11 March that was sent to India. According to firm’s IoT marketing head Prayukth KV, the email contained a variant of the ransomware called Locky.

Ransomware encrypts documents and information on a victim’s system, so the victim cannot read or access the documents anymore. The hacker offers a key to decrypt the information only after a ransom is paid.

The email looks like it’s from the WHO, sent by a Tim Hardley, principal healthcare officer from WHO’s regional office for the Americas. A Google search throws up no results for such a WHO official.

The email accurately cites Tedros Adhanom, the WHO director general (a fact that will hold up in a basic Google check), and asks users to download the attached document. The document is supposed to be signed and sent back in 15 hours so WHO can purportedly provide healthcare support, including a free healthcare kit.

However, the email address does look suspicious — [email protected]. Authentic WHO email addresses mentioned on the organisation’s website typically end with ‘who.int’.

Subex has found suspicious documents in other emails with names such as ‘Corona_health_update.pdf’ (attributed to centers for disease control), ‘Origin-of-corona_cnn.mp4’, ‘Covid19_Mandatory_work_from_measures.pdf’ (spread using instant messaging platforms), ‘Corona_safety_alert.docx’ and ‘Secondary_corona_infections.pdf’.

Subex also tracked down WhatsApp messages infected with malware that include content on coronavirus.

Prayukth shared details of one particular WhatsApp, which was sent twice (at 2.11 pm, 2.16 pm) to a potential victim on 3 March.

The message reads, “All IT employees to have paid mandatory leave to avoid the spread of the COVID-19 novel coronavirus starting from March 5, 2020…Read the government order here.”

The hyperlink, at first glance, looks like it will lead to the social media site reddit.com. However, it contains malware, though Subex has not been able to ascertain what kind of malware.

According to another cybersecurity firm, which chose to not be identified, one of the malwares used to target India is made by North Korea’s hacker unit, Bureau 121.

Since 12 February, Subex has noticed an increase in such mass-scale cyber-attacks through malicious email campaigns in India.

The firm does not as yet have a clear number for how many Indian devices may have been infected but has been detecting cases through its clients and business partners, which include telecom service providers.

Without naming which clients or business partners sent the most reports of suspicious messages, Prayukth said Subex received 21 emails with suspicious links. Of these, six are from clients and business partners based in US, five from India, four each from South East Asia and Western Europe including Italy, and two from Mexico.
