Shanghai COVID horror: Families get only 5 to 10 minutes slots to mourn loved ones (msn.com)

The China COVID cases are surging and WHO has already pointed out that China has underrepresented the COVID data. The global health body has held a meeting concerning COVID in mainland China. If one goes by the books, Beijing eased down the COVID restrictions but the COVID story for China continues to remain gloomy.

The story of China's crematoriums in Shanghai is sure to break hearts. Shanghai deaths are so much so that one funeral home is handling five times more corpses than usual per day, according to a report by Bloomberg. The mourning loved ones are merely allocated five to 10 minutes to mourn the dead, the Tuesday report added.

One of the funeral homes is Longhua Funeral Home. Dozens of bodies are laid out on stretchers. To avoid piling up the dead bodies in a crematorium, the funeral house is only allowing mourners to briefly pay their respects to their dear departed souls. Later they are simply ushered away, the outlet added. According to one Longhua employee, in a conversation with Bloomberg revealed that the system is broken and in shambles. "The whole system is paralyzed right now," the Longhua employee said.

The situation is no different at Baoxing Funeral Parlor in Shanghai. One can substantiate the reports to some extent as the Chinese health authorities as quoted by Beijing Daily that on 11 December emergency services were overwhelmed as they received over 30,000 calls in a single day. Speaking with Beijing Daily, Chen Zhi, chief physician at the Beijing Emergency Medical Center, said that currently, the resources for answering emergency calls and dispatching ambulances are very tight.

The official death tally for the entire pandemic — starting in 2019 — stood at 5,241 fatalities on December 24, 2022 when the count was last updated. On Christmas Day, the commission announced it would no longer provide daily updates to its coronavirus figures amid a deluge of new cases. Earlier, Chinese human right activist Jennifer Zeng shared inside stories from Chinese hospitals which indicated a huge surge of COVID cases in the country and a shortage of medical staff.

China should be collapsing with those Western headlines right? ;)

Bodies everywhere!

Look at these tweets posted by Indian users in this thread!

If those headlines are real then why are Chinese people just burning a "body" here and there in gated communities? With little or no fuel like burning paper?

This is what happens when you have to burn many bodies like you are hoping to find in China but can't. Bodies are burned day and night in a concentrated fashion:

You are so intense in your hope for deaths in China that you can't even look at things logically.

No difference between a video taken by a drone and one taken by a mobile phone?

Logically - why mongrels burn "paper" in the shape of dead bodies? Why not a heap?
Why "paper" is covered in a white cloth and the guests in black robe?
Why is it that Chinese mongrels can't comprehend that the wood can be placed beneath the white cloth with the dead body?
Why is that Chinese mongrels watch first 10 second clip and come to a conclusion that "not enough fire" to burn a body?

Low IQ gutter oil fed ret@rds who get paid half a dollar per post to shit on the internet are talking of logic now? 🧐

"Neither sexy nor lady chinese bot" wants us to see logic by ignoring overwhelming videographic proof of out of control deaths in china and by showing pictures of traffic & new year celebrations etc. Hey Bhagwan.

We have a saying for this - Palthya Ghadyavar Pani Takne

As much as you Indians hope for them they are not happening because if deaths were overwhelming then people wouldn't be celebrating ;)

1 death a day keeps Covid away, only if...

Please think logically, these graves are not being dig for dead bodies but to dump waste in Beijing. Lately a lot of garbage has been generated.
Need proper disposal of waste. A compost pit like these will help enrich the soil and keep Beijing's air clean.

Death count due to Heart Attack are incresing everyday in China. Seems the people are not going to hospitals (evident from Low occupancy and low business in hospitals) are being (mis)treated with Wuhan Virus Medicines instead of heart attack. Many people are burning the (dead) paper offering in the street by wearing masks so that Heart Attack cases get contained. Woods are scarce in China i think.

Please find and post pictures of mass burnings like these:

If there were overwhelming deaths in China, they would be burning them in vast batches in designated areas not like those single "burnings" here and there in gated communities like those videos. You people are just blood thirsty without logic.

There can be no pictures like these simply because China is a shithole and you'll be executed for it.
Absence of pictures is not a proof of absence. Think logically?

In India, everything is open.
Heck, even your Xi can visit and walk anywhere and talk to anyone and find out things.

in China, it's a black hole, worse than even North Korea,

Yet you people talk about "overwhelming" evidence o_O

The proof is in the pudding. When delta hit India, society broke down when deaths became overwhelming. There were no celebrations. It would be the same in China if the same amount of deaths had struck.

But the same amount of deaths is not happening in China ;)

Covid rips through China, 10 countries impose curbs on passengers from Jinpingland (msn.com)

Covid-19 is exploding in China even though Xi Jinping says that the "light of hope is right in front of us". In the latest, several more countries have imposed restrictions on travellers coming from China in a bid to stop the entry of possible new Covid-19 variants.

Countries with restrictions:

India:
Negative RT-PCR test taken before 72 hours of departure is necessary for those travelling from China, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea and Thailand.
  • Moreover, India is testing 2% of passengers on international flights randomly.
US: Starting January 5, travellers from China, Hong Kong and Macau need to show negative Covid tests taken within 48 hours of departure or either prove to have recovered from the infection in the last 90 days.

Canada: Negative Covid test report taken within 48 hours of departure necessary for travellers from China.

UK: Starting January 5, travellers from China will have to undergo pre-departure Covid test and submit a negative report before boarding.
  • UK also plans to test a few passengers to monitor new variants if any.
European Union: Starting January 5, France, Spain and Italy will require negative Covid tests for travellers from China. France specifies that the test report should be taken within 48 hours of departure.
  • The EU is also set to meet on the issue and issue a possible common policy for entry requirements.
Morocco: The north African country has outright banned travellers from China from January 3. Morocco said it wants to avoid a "new wave of contaminations" and its consequences.

Israel: Negative Covid tests are necessary for those coming from China. Testing booths have also been set up at airports for those who volunteer.

Japan: The East Asian country was the first to impose restrictions on travellers from China. All passengers coming from China will be tested for Covid on arrival.
  • Those who test positive will be quarantined for seven days.
  • Japan has also cut down the number of flights coming from China.
South Korea: Passengers coming from China will have to undergo Covid testing before and after arriving in South Korea.
  • Seoul is also restricting the number of visas being issued on short-term and also scaling back on the number of flights from China.
Australia: Passengers from China, Hong Kong and Macau need to provide a negative Covid test before arrival.

What Xi Jinping said: On the other hand, Chinese Premier Xi Jinping spoke about Covid for the first time after easing restrictions and announcing the plan to roll back the zero-Covid policy from January 8.

Epidemic prevention and control is entering a new phase... Everyone is working resolutely, and the light of hope is right in front of us.
- Xi Jinping, Chinese Premier

Is China hiding the reality of Covid situation? China reported over 7,000 new infections and one death on Saturday (December 31). However, several countries and the WHO believe that China is not releasing the real extent of the spread of Covid-19 and the numbers are downplaying the situation.
  • Australia and Canada have both cited "lack of comprehensive information" on Covid situation from Beijing as the reason for the Covid curbs.
  • WHO Chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus called the Covid curbs by various countries on travellers from China as "understandable".
In the absence of comprehensive information from China, it is understandable that countries around the world are acting in ways that they believe may protect their populations.
- Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO Chief
  • WHO also met with Chinese officials on December 30 urging Beijing to share real-time data on Covid.
