Loved them what kind of operational record do they have. And one more thing if GROM are just used for anti terror then what were they doing in afganisthan a active war zone. And i had seen that pic of egoz before .I dont think it's hard to spot them and in case of reality it would have been much easier ,
You are probably right, in a live environment it will be easier to spot them as there might be small movements and also the observer can change angles.

Good one, his Tavor is a giveaway. The 2nd one is a wee bit hard because he is wearing a "mitznefet", an israeli military headgear that looks like a chefs heat, like this:

It breaks up the distinctive outline of helmets making camouflage easier. Operator is wearing it and is actually very close to the one you found.

Both of them are sitting there in just plain sight .I knew they use "mitznefet" hence was easy for me to spot the second one as i was looking particularly for it  but those who didn't no about it it would have been hard to spot. And it's there standard camo nothing "special" .

Anyways since you have come into this thread it has lite up:thumb:hope because of ur contribution and little mine and others we can make it one of the awesome source of information when it comes to SF.:namaste:

Kommando Spezialkraefte (KSK)

Kommando Spezialkraefte (KSK) beret = MAROON

COUNTRY = GERMANY

Kommando Spezialkraefte (KSK) MOTTO

"Der Wille entscheidet") 'The will is decisive'

Kommando Spezialkraefte (KSK)

Germany has a tradition of elite troops trained for special operations dating back to the World War I "stormtroopers," who infiltrated behind enemy lines to wreak havoc. Their World War II successors, the Brandenburgers and Otto Skorzeny's Jagdsverband, were trained for a wide array of special missions. However, during the post-war years, Germany did not really have a military special forces unit. The German Border Police's GSG-9, formed after the 1972 Munich massacre, was rated one of the world's best counterterrorist units, but it had limited missions. The closest thing to a special forces unit in the German Army was the Fernspaher, who were long-range recon troops. That changed, however, in 1996 with the formation of the Kommando Spezizlkrafte (KSK), which was patterned on units such as the Special Air Service and the U.S. Army Special Forces, especially Delta Force/CAG. Reportedly, some of the impetus for forming the KSK came from an experience in the Rwandan Civil War when 11 German citizens had to be rescued by Belgian and French troops since the German Army did not have personnel trained for such an operation. The KSK was activated on April 1, 1997, and has assumed a wide array of special operations missions, including counterterrorist missions outside of Germany. GSG-9 retains the counterterrorism mission within Germany and the Kampfschwimmers retain the MAT (Maritime Anti-Terrorism) mission. The KSK is organized into an HQ and Communications Company, a Support Company, a Training Platoon, a Long-Range Recon Company, and four commando companies, each with around 100 operators plus support elements.

Within each commando company are specialist platoons, much like the specialist troops in an SAS squadron. These platoons consist of a command platoon, a platoon that specializes in land insertions (much like the SAS Mobility Troop, this includes desert operations), one that specializes in intelligence gathering and airborne insertions (HALO/HAHO specialists), an amphibious platoon, a mountain and arctic platoon, and a reconnaissance and sniper/countersniper platoon, which can be attached from the Long-Range Recon Company. Note that a substantial number of KSK operators are trained as snipers.

Area of action Kommando Spezial Kräfte

Kommando Spezial Kräfte (KSK) has got several jobs to do comparable to the Delta Force of the US and the British SAS.
Namely:

1. The protection of German facilities and forces in foreign countries as well as persons in special situations.

The reconnoiter and control of important operation waypoints, areas and communication lines in some distance away
The preventive actions against enemy forces and covered operating opponents before they can reach german facilities or military forces
Direct protection of persons of risk within a dangerous zone or till the leaving of the dangerous zone

2. Evacuating, rescuing and saving of persons in a terrorist threat or a threat caused by the war

Evacuating and saving of German citizens and other persons from war and civil war zones: amongst other things the rescuing of hostages
Tracking down and rescuing of German soldiers, that have been captured or have been taking as hostages during foreign operations of the Bundeswehr and the return to their units

3. Reconnaissance for the creation of the own information superiority

Gaining of key information for the political and military control over the operation zone, enemy facilities, troop movements, positions, persons and more
Reconnoiter and control targets with a high military significance

4. fight against targets with a high priority on enemy or from the enemy occupied area

occupying, destroying or paralyzing of important objects, facilities and weapons for the enemy warefare

KSK operates under the control of the German crisis department and conducts actions similar to those taken by the U.S. Special Forces or British SAS. These actions include:
defense of NATO territory of Germany or
action during the deterioration and escalation of crisis situations
Operations in the creation / maintenance of peace operations
strategic reconnaissance of the territory
deep penetration and activity in the depths of enemy territory
The hostage-rescue operations
Despite KSK tasks include operations against high-value targets, such as the communication, lines of electronic communications, the enemy headquarters and in-depth strategic intelligence, special emphasis is given to ensure the safety of German citizens in war or conflict zones, evacuation of German civilians, rescuing hostages, and rescue of downed pilots.
