I did not know China was so obsessed with India. With the amount of money stuck in American Bonds, you people should be more worried of USA than India.

Thank God we do not have a one child policy. China is ageing like anything. China will go down in the next decade. And with junk military equipments they will find it hard to meet their security. Money is not everything :)

I agree. Let China and Chinese think what they want to think and do more reverse engineering. In the next decade, China's reverse engineering will produce more junks while our indigenous R&D will touch new heights. They are indirectly helping us induct better aircrafts, missiles and Navy ships.

I can only laugh thinking where will Pakistan be in the equation. Maybe on the Right Hand Side after the equal to sign as a zero :)
God bless Pakistan & China, but wait, has not God left Pakistan long ago? It is China's time now. :)

Then what the hell are you doing in this thread? So that you know, with economic might comes military might. Who the hell would invest in a country which cannot protect it's borders?

India can't match China's military force - Indian Navy Chief

"SouthAsiaNews — October 07, 2009 — Its long been believed but on Monday India's Navy chief, Adm. Sureesh Mehta, chairman of the Chiefs of Staff Committee, clearly spelt it out: India is no match for China, should a conflict arise between the nations.

Pointing out that it would be foolhardy to compare India and China as equals, Adm. Mehta said: In military terms, both conventional and non-conventional, we have neither the capability nor the intention to match China, force by force.

He went on to add that these were sobering thoughts... therefore our strategy to deal with China would need to be in consonance with these realities. Common sense indicates that cooperation with China would be preferable to competition or conflict as it would be foolhardy to compare India and China as equals, Adm. Mehta said."

Judge for yourself to determine whether Admiral Mehta is correct or not. Here is a look at China's military.

The report should not be taken seriously as it says china has a carrier. That itself is enough to crash its credibility.

China's Space Weapons Test

In this video from CNN, the United States is very concerned about the vulnerability of its satellites to China's satellite killer or ASAT (i.e. anti-satellite missile). China's asymmetric weapons are giving heartburn to the U.S. military.

The point is that any country, other than the U.S., will have to fight China without "eyes in the sky." Within hours or days of hostilities, China will destroy enemy satellites. The U.S. may or may not come up with a backup plan. However, it is unlikely that any country (other than the United States) will have functioning satellites or reconnaissance capability after China's ASAT strikes.

/\/\/\ Great. However, China should focus more energy on resolving border disputes with India and unnecessarily arming Pakistan.

Let's just end this pissing contest. It reeks of "been there, done that". Use the forum's search feature to find specific discussions.
