Looking at the Indian subcontinent, I can only see Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives and SL integrate with India for economic reasons.

reading through many of the posts on this partuicular thread and although this is a military forum it is understandable that much has been written about capturing neighbours but really it is a matter of the mind

once people know that you have a good economy an interesting ,educated people who are tolerant of nonviolent but differeing opinions in non-essentials and they are physically safe in your country , they wouldnt mind at all living with you and gradually becoming one of you

cases i point- the various ethnic communities living in usa , canada , australia etc

similarly like some people in pak, eg veena malik and otheres from neighbouring lands ( aslo many afghans and indeed uighurs ) , they would want to participate in your economy and gradually afer some generations become one of you - then econimc unions become possible and after that political union - the pattern of what happened in the Europena Union is a likely forerunner.

given that india is still , at the street-level pretty much disorganised and unsafe ( sorry ) it is unlikely that any kind of physical assimilation is gonna be encouraging to the neighbours - so economic union would be at the state level rather than the community leevl ...... any kind of union is a long way off like at least 100 years away

the nation to watch ( regardsing changing boundaries ) will not be india but rather pakland vis-a-vis 1971 !

The thread is not about India annexing any other country. The thread is open in discussing world wide scene 50 years from now.

China is all set to annex many lands if not entire countries. Started with Tibet 60 years ago. So don't bother about Indian mindset.

The US seems to be the safest place isolated by oceans on two sides and two large neighbors on two sides one of which is kind of an exptention of it and the other in too bad a shape to be a threat.

You got to be joking right? If they wanted to protest about what happened to Rodney King fine, but if you are going to act like dumbasses and loot and kill because of it, it isnt right!! These dumbass looted and killed in Kings name.

India should not try try to annex territories of Pakistan and B'desh [muslim majority]. It would increase the muslim population still further. India should rather aspire to break of these states and setting up of weak buffer states.
