It is not about religion. A person can follow stupidisum for all I care. But you are right about riots in India based on religion.
To pacify the muslim minorities, the congress plays into their hands and gives them special privileges just because it is full of cowards who do not want to build the country but are here only to rule it. The christians don't do any such thing and as such don't get any special privileges. This means, whoever tries to destabilize peace in this country is actually rewarded! A good government who gives a crap about building this country will think twice about these things and revamp the police force so that the population is not allowed to riot in the first place. Because they are not ready to remove that inadequacy, so that the wealthy and corrupt can keep looting this country, the police is a mere chaprasi force for the politicians and not here to preserve law and order.
No other nation state gives special privileges to any ethnicity or religious group. That in fact goes against the definition of democracy in the first place. Democracy means the rule of the majority of the people. India is not a democracy yet. Its a sham in front of the world to attract FDI. India is a plutocracy. More accurately, India is a plutocracy of the corrupted. When a nation elects leaders like those, what more can you expect from them other than to fill their pockets and only bolster defence such that they remain safe?
A nation state should give equal opportunity to everyone and apply equal laws to everyone irrespective of his religion, caste or creed. If reservation was implemented to pull people out of their misery, it should be only for people who are economically challenged, and their kids should be provided free education. In higher education however, admissions should still be based on merit. India is following the opposite of rule used in western world: "Survival of the fittest". In India, its "survival of the corrupt and the opportunistic".
India as a nation state will not last long if this continues. The citizens of India will have to take the first step in this regard.
1) Eliminate corruption and opportunism.
2) Provide reservation only to the economically challenged (say 25%)
3) Strengthen its police force and create anti-riot forces who can keep law and order in the country in every conceivable situation.
4) Strengthen its intelligence to weed out traitors and bust any faction/group/organization working towards destabilizing the country.
5) Give equal opportunity and apply the same set of laws to all its citizens
6) Eliminate the demands of special groups to ensure that the fittest survive and lead this country in economical, technological and political arenas.
Only then will we be able to integrate the so-called neighbors into Bharat.
Moereover, there is no such thing as a Muslim or a Hindu race. The people in South Asia belong to the Aryan race and as such, should be a part of Bharat.
