Researched about Indian army's night fighting capabilities and highly disappointed with the fact that IA is night blind and don't have night fighting capability as compared to China. Some news are coming to upgrade our armored divisions to modernize and make them able to fight at night but IA troops are totally night blind. India has purchased some of night vision devices but it is not enough and to give our whole army night fighting ability India will have to spend a big amount as faster as it can.

My question is why our corrupted government don't think about it and fast track some deal to buy more night vision device? Or why India isn't keen to develop such devices indigenously to provide IA night fighting capability which is very crucial in modern warfare?

I'm talking the ability of whole army in which each troop should have these abilities. I doubt if all troops and infantry vehicles have all these features.

Not each trooper but we have at-least one or two devices per platoon size..

Most T-72 are updated with NV/Thermals, OFB updated BMP2 in army use NV..
But not every single yet..
With time all vehicles will be updated with NV/Thermals

in my openion previous gov. policies and lack of priority with a mix of curruption is the main cause of night blindness of IA.
