A humble question, please: for those who claim Rafale and any else is too expensive, had you put into consideration that India GDP is growing at 6~7% (7.1% for 2016, 8% for 2015). At 6%, we are talking a doubled one ~12 years, and 10 years at 7%. As long as India can insist same defence-to-GDP percentage, we will be looking at similar growing air force budget. In other words, say if squadron number is fixed, IAF suppose to afford a double-price fighter every 12 years, despite other cost such as logistics. So, when people said "too expensive", do you have some measurement about "IAF affordability"? Again, I admit it's a question raised without concrete idea.
