It is my pleasure to announce that..as anticipated, America ki fati padi hai...

Russian Missiles in Venezuela Heighten US Tensions

Russian military personnel flying into Venezuela in recent weeks were likely sent to ensure the nation's sophisticated S-300 surface-to-air missiles remain a credible deterrent to any U.S. military action against the government of socialist President Nicolas Maduro, according to defense analysts in Latin America, the U.S. and Russia.

The US hasn't been able to conclusively enforce its writ in any proxy engagement in undertook since their Vietnam debacle, be it Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, South China Sea and now Venezuela. It's a superpower with erectile dysfunction.

US certainly has a hand in destabilizing Venezuela but that does not mean socialism is anything but a recipe for disaster.

Afterall, communists are the biggest mass murders in history.

How a plot filled with intrigue and betrayal failed to oust Venezuela’s president

In the intoxicating early hours of Tuesday morning, Venezuela’s opposition saw a historic goal within reach: President Nicolás Maduro, they were certain, was about to step down. But by noon, a dull panic began to surface. A plan rife with intrigue and betrayal had begun to go south.
Promised declarations of support from Maduro’s inner circle never came. Instead, Vladimir Padrino López — Maduro’s defense minister and one of the key loyalists meeting with the opposition — went on national television to denounce what he called a “coup.” Suddenly, the dashing Leopoldo López — who had escaped house arrest with help from Maduro’s own intelligence police — was forced to scramble to the Chilean and then the Spanish embassy to seek protection. For hours, Guaidó disappeared. Maduro’s spy chief — a senior conspirator — fled the country.

...that doesn't mean the US is going to solve it. One has to stop being so universal in their approach that our own national interests are compromised. Evaluate it through India's prism and see how it affects India if one of our major oil providers is trampled by a foreign country. Can't imagine Indians to be so stupid as to be cheering someone who is trifling with our energy security.

Sure, the US would be kind enough to grant India an alternate source of oil, which will be Saudi Arabia, and we will end up in a situation where all our money is going to Wahabbis and we have no autonomy to diversify our oil purchase from anyone other than Unkil's favorite Wahabbi shithole. The same money will find its way back into India for religious conversions. A socialist shithole like Venezuela that isn't trying to preach socialism to us is better than a Wahabbi shithole that is actively propagating Wahabbism inside India. That's not how one becomes a superpower.

India extracts silent revenge behind the scenes. During Iran sanctions, Murica sanctioned our banks, so we paid Iran in gold bars. During the recent trade war, India started dumping billions of US $ on the open market to the point where it got us on an economic watchlist by a US body. India doesn't pick fights, it throws a mighty tantrum which gets noticed.

Indian policy be like..

Kabira khada bazaar me...maange sabki khair..na kissi se dosti, na kissi se bair..

...agar karoge dushmani to tumhari ammi ko pelega Russian bear :troll:

You need to learn to contextualize.

I never argued that US meddling in Venezuela would be good for us. It was merely a point about how blaming the US for all all Venezuela's ills and giving socialism a pass was just plain stupid. Socialism destroys every economy as it's inherently dumb and evil. As the former British PM, Thatcher said, 'The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.' Its evil because it demands the fruits of my labor and seeks to control it, to force me into something that I do not want to do.

As for India, we suffered under Nehru's and Indira's socialist policies that kept us underdeveloped for over half a century. I hope I don't have to recount examples of that painfully obvious fact.

Now coming to the energy situation, though that was not the context, since you raised it, its obviously better for us as a energy consumer to have independent sources; however, the reality is that US is actively pursuing the strategy of controlling all countries with significant oil reserves and in that regard they are pushing all major consumers to source from countries controlled by them. That is a reality that we need to face up with, simply wishing that Venezuela remain an independent socialist shit-hole will do nothing to change that reality. In the short-term we have to give in to the US as far as oil is concerned and in the long term, grow big enough to try to be independent in this regard.

As for oil money coming into India for conversions, that's handled better by forming and executing strict laws in the country rather than wishing geo-politics goes our way. In this regard, GoI under PM Modi has done little, Chattisharg is a prime example of a state that we'll lose to conversion, albeit to Christianity and not Islam. The principle of checking money flooding in remains the same.

So as I began, its not that I like US taking over Venezuela, its just that you can't absolve socialism.

Dhindu-giri is a mental disease. No wonder the country was enslaved for centuries.

The issue was never about socialism to begin with. It's about US interventionism. Socialism is being brought in as a cover to validate US actions. That's contextualization. Venezuela is a source of oil for us. How it treats its people is not our concern. We also buy from Iran and Nigeria, both are shitholes in their own right. It's not our position to fix their issues. Our economy suffered massively after the US invaded Iraq under similarly misguided liberation agenda, and India paid a heavy price for it. We just need the US to keep away from our oil sources. All talks of socialism are best kept to CNN and Washingtonpost where they belong. They are peddling their point of view, there's no need for Indians to peddle it too.

Ah so Venezuela was doing great under socialism before the US intervened? Its the old cold war excuse, socialism would work great but evil US intervened and spoilt everything.

So let's me know how socialism worked great for us.

As for US intervention, that's their right, it's in their interest. What can we do about it?
