She's not going to be regarded as a President though, will only have the authority for a day or however long this surgery takes.

Unless Newyork elite bankroll her, Tulsi can't win. California Elite won't bankroll her, Nancy Pelosi won't allow it.
You forget that most of the voter base of the Democrats now are the jihadis, khalistanis, Pakis, Afghanis, fake-Kashmiris, Somalis, radical arabs, etc. settled in the US. Tulsi Gabbard is already discriminated for being a Hindu (she ain't even Indian by origin - dad a Pacific islander, mom a german white) and was accused of "pandering to Hindu nationalists" when she visited the then-EAM late Sushma Swaraj Ji and greeted PM Modi Ji in Modi Govt 1.0.

Tulsi Gabbard on Howdy Modi & the lies of Indian Left

Tulsi also called out the lies by the fake MSM and that Sweden-based commie called Ashok Swain & openly became a strong connect between India and USA. Instead of crediting her with being the nodal connection between India and USA, the Democrats, funded by Islamists, ISI, & leftist groups, abused her, demonized her & isolated her within Democrats.

I spoke to a few American friends who want her as POTUS (mix of Goras, latinos & blacks), and they told me about the ongoing politics against her. Don't know much about Yang.

Despite her balanced worldview, she's only popular among people & not among the deep state elitists in either Left or Right of the American politics. Add the fact that she's a woman & the Victorian era Christian mindset in US politics does not allow women to come to power.

Tulsi is not in the same position as her British counterpart Priti Patel is. Priti holds far more power, is a senior minister in the ruling government and most likely to become the next British PM after BoJo.

I am of the opinion that these old democracies like US, UK and a few european countries, elections are formulaic because of the number of election cycles they have gone thru. there is a preset formula, with variables where weightage change based on the election year. but largely they run on simple binaries. only new variable that got added recently for top job is ethnicity of the candidate, since obama. but there again obama is another white man with dark skin.

Trump played these variables beautifully, got a favourable outcome for himself.

so coming to voter base, murican public has been conditioned so wonderfully that it is easy to manipulate them provided the "right people" are ready to back a candidate, an established system of grass roots organisations, new media and now social media will take care of bringing voter base to vote for you on election day.

then comes the final piece, the swing states on election day. complexity increases, but that's what politicians are for.

Now coming to my original statement, without Newyork and california rich elite blessing, these days no democrat can win even primaries. going by the attacks Tulsi is facing, they clearly don't support her. she is young, there is still a chance democrats need to project a centrist candidate when $hit hits the fan within their party at a future date. till then she just needs to be in public eye, good or bad.

Do your acquaintances in the US see shit hitting the fan soon? Since Bernie Sanders is pretty much now the Advani-equivalent of the Democrats, Biden-Harris are the MMS-Sonia equivalent there. Do you think that with Kamala Harris trying to go for a power grab soon, Tulsi has any chances?

Of course, money matters in the Dollar land.

By outside pressure from autocrats, they seek to advance their own power, expand their influence around the world & justify their repressive policies & practices as a more efficient way to address today's challenges: US President Joe Biden at Summit for Democracy

That's how it's sown, by voices that seek to fan flames of social division & political polarisation. Perhaps most imp & worrying of all,by increasing dissatisfaction of people all around the world with democratic govts. In my view, it's the defining challenge of our time: US Pres

Anyone here was living in US during 2008 financial crisis? Wanted to know if during housing crisis, at any point in time was there ever a proposal for house mortgage payment deferment ( by a few months or whatever) ?

or was the discourse entirely focused on Wall Street bankers?

Note : not a rhetorical or a politically loaded question.
