I'd like to point out a research conducted by RAND Corp, any China Taiwan (rather US) war will result in GDP contraction of 5-10% for US and 25-35% for China.

I think, Chinese cheap electronics manufacturing sector will be shattered due to non availability of microchips/fabs from Taiwan. So I think the effect on them will be much more than that.

TSMC is trying for quite sometime to set up manufacturing plants in India but probably we are in the impression that then China might do Kadi Ninda and so refrained ourselves from that (till now).
