US didn't fight in Roos. US sure as fuck won't fight in Taiwan.

If shit hits the fan, why US need to put boots on ground inside China? US just need to fight a defensive war from Taiwanese side.
US won't go to rescue Chinese people from CCP. They will just have to save Taiwan from Chinese aggression. And so they just need to deter Chinese air superiority and amphibious assault and occasionally lob some dirts from the air targeting Chinese mic and staging/industrial areas.
US just need to deter China from taking over Taiwan.

And US won't be alone in that venture. Japan and Germany have already pledged their support. Aus will join too. Not sure about us (India) but many others will follow the suit.

US MIC have their own in-house foundries. Several American semiconductor companies have their foundries set up in mainland US.

US has no reason to defend Taiwan, it is not worth losing thousands of ships and troops.
