i mean sure we did it by accident and kept quiet thinking they wouldnt notice - but how many countries have done it.

The CCPs "Bide you time" phase was going to be over sooner or later - Xi just decided to that it was time to show China's virat swaroop to the world. Only time will tell if it pays off or not for China.
