Highly unlikely because Xi simply cannot afford any negotiations on this topic. He is already facing economic issues covid lockdowns and now this?

nothing much , usual stuff - 99% wants war with taiwan , 1% thinks nothing will happen except for randi rona from chinese gov .

last press release from China gov says if Pelosi visits Taiwan there will be serious consequences . doesnt say it will be military one .

So what may happen?

(If)Pelosi will land on mainland Taiwan tomorrow... Neither she nor the mainland will get attacked

But many of the Taiwanese islands which lie nearer to China than to Taiwan may be captured by PLA in overwhelming assaults... nobody can deny this... very high probability.

all these islands are inhabited . if China takes them over , good chance Taiwan will declare independence - then only option for China is full war .

They fire missiles time to time so nothing new in that.

Taiwan ADZ even extends into the mainland due to the islands nearby plus china regularly breaches them in large and small numbers alike. So once again nothing new.

Military excercise. At this point baba banaras give better takes than this shit.
