US warns Pak of consequences if any terror attacks happen during Obama's India visit

Ahead of President Barack Obama's visit to India, the US has asked Pakistan to ensure that there is no cross-border terror incident during the trip and subtly warned of "consequences" if any such attack is traced back to the country.

Obama will travel to New Delhi later this week to attend the Republic Day parade on January 26, the first US president to do so. The US and Indian security agencies are taking extra care for Obama as he will be on an open air platform at Rajpath for more than two hours, witnessing the parade.

It is believed that the US has asked Pakistan to ensure that there is no cross-border terrorism or even attempts of it during Obama's trip. Pakistan has been subtly warned of the "consequences" of any terrorist attack during Obama's trip if that is traced back to their country, sources said. The warning has been issued keeping the track record of Pakistan-based militant groups that have carried out attacks in India coinciding with high-profile visits from the US.

Militants had shot dead 36 Sikhs in March 20, 2000 in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir, coinciding with the visit of the then US President Bill Clinton to India.

The US forces in Afghanistan are also keeping a close eye on the activities of the terrorist groups in the region.

The US Embassy in Pakistan too has been alerted.

Ahead of the presidential trip, there is an unprecedented level of intelligence sharing between India and the US.

This would be spine chilling for the Pakistanis, who depend so heavily on the US munificence to simple exist as a Nation, even though a bit ragged nonetheless.

Her other benefactor., China, too would be displeased as it will skew the chemistry in Pakistan and would seriously affect China's multifarious on going activities since 'consequences' have many meanings and many avenues to implement and all will be unpleasant for the fabric of Pakistan.

The US' long arm is nothing to overlook given their tenacity to impose her writ.

Already, it is seen that the US and the West are tiring of Pakistan and its monkey business wherein they have told Pakistan that it would be wise to hand over Lakhvi, the mastermind of the Mumbai blast to India.

Obama's security: Pakistan rejects Indian terror attack report

January 21, 2015

Pakistan Ambassador to the United States Jalil Abbas Jilani on Tuesday rubbished reports of any warning issued to his country by US ahead of President Barack Obama's India visit. "The Indian media has a tendency to invent and exaggerate things," said the Ambassador when asked to comment on reports that the US had warned Pakistan against any terror attacks on the Indian soil during Obama's visit.

An Indian news agency on Sunday reported from Washington that Pakistan had been subtly warned of the 'consequences' of any terrorist attack during President Obama's trip if that is traced back to their country. The media reports said that the US had asked Pakistan to ensure there is no cross-border terror incident during President Obama's visit to India.- Defending Islamabad's stand on terrorism the envoy said, "As a matter of fact John Kerry had deeply appreciated the steps taken by Pakistan against terrorism."

US would have discreetly warned Pakistan about it but since Pakistan is a shame honour society so Pakistani govt would never tell the truth as it is ijjat ka sawal and their own country men would kill them .

You know a country has gone down the drain when their people actually rejoice on not being branded as terrorists for a change.

They may even post articles regarding that and see it as a sort of "victory" over India. @Neo

Like Osama?
Nyways since Pak will get all blame even a balloon pops in the region. For a change, when US President Obama is in India, ISI can create some explosions in Pakistan and then blame it on RAW and MOSAD. :D

Is there any other news paper other than from Pakistan reporting or downplaying the incident about warning?
