US vows to help bring investment to assist India’s mitigation efforts

The investment will be “a huge amount”, John Kerry said, which “would allow India to keep track with 1.5 degrees centigrade limitation on the increase of the Earth’s temperature”.

USA talking money to India as if talking to pakistan
like USA can do crap and they get away by aiding investments.

Fuck
India is the only nation in the world that has adhered to the PARIS CLIMATE norms and USA,the worlds largest eco abuser is talking to India on climate mitigation.

As always USA needs to implement the changes on themselves, what they preach to the resf of the world

Why would they do that? I may not like the Muricans, but they have literal zero need to do that. For them, the biggest threat right now is China, and to counter China, they need India, as India is the only country with the requisite population and military strength, coupled with military strength. Why would they want to weaken an ally? Do consider the motive before accusing someone/some country of doing something.
China is their business partner, not a threat.
Modi is a threat to whatever schemes they have for India.
Anything goes to remove him.

The investment will be a pittance, wrapped in red tape and will have restrictive T&C, because of which GoI won't accept it.

Quad is not 'Asian NATO', India never had 'NATO mentality', Jaishankar says

New Delhi:
The Quad, or the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue, is not an “Asian NATO” and India never had a “NATO mentality”, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said Tuesday even as he stressed that in the changing global order, like-minded countries are coming together to form coalitions.

“The idea that when we come together and there is some sort of a threat or messaging to others, I think people need to get over this… This kind of using words like ‘Asian NATO’ etc is a mind-game which people are playing,” Jaishankar said.

“I can’t have other people have a veto about what am going to discuss, with whom I’m going to discuss, how much I’m going to contribute to the world. That’s my national choice. That kind of NATO mentality has never been India’s. If it has been there in Asia before I think it’s in other countries and regions, not in mine,” he added.

However, denying that the Quad is a security alliance, or an “Asian NATO”, Jaishankar said the grouping has dealt with 10 broad subjects so far — vaccine collaboration, higher education and student mobility, climate action, HADR (high availability disease recovery), emerging technology, resilient supply chains, semiconductors, disinformation, counterterrorism and maritime security.

Who said China is their threat? China is an important player in globalist agenda.

If china was a threat would west let them build N tipped ICBMs? While assassinating our nuclear scientists and slapping NPT on India.

If china was a threat, Would west accept China's claims on Tibet? while constantly removing Kashmir from Indian maps.

If China was a threat would west let them be a manufacturing superpower? While constantly draggging India to WTO courts for protectionism.

If china was a threat would west let them build artificial islands in SCS and let China bully all Asian countries? While US violates India's EEZs.

If China was a threat would US threaten sanctions on India in middle of Galwan Clash?

Lets look at reality, China's rise is fully supported by vasted intrests in western countries, While they tried every dirty trick in the book to keep India down.

Now who do you think west fears most?

After WW2 world was devided among 5 victors. They can have any weapons they want, they can wage any wars they want, they can manipulate the system as they want. Rest including India are supposed to be their subservients. This is the new world order.

1. "According to Arms Control and Disarmament Agency director William Foster, the American government, under Kennedy and Johnson administration, was concerned about the program and studied ways to sabotage or attack it, perhaps with the aid of Taiwan". https://doi.org/10.1162/016228800560525

In response to you mentioning about Chinese nuclear weapons being allowed to develop, without any sabotage while India was constantly attacked. Also remember, that China had absolutely no friends when they were developing their nukes. The West attacked everyone who attempted to develop nukes, and so did the rest of the world to prevent nuclear proliferation. This isn't bias for China, they attacked everyone to maintain their superiority.

2. The State Dept. has started supporting Tibetan Independence in the last 5 years. The SFF, an all Tibetan force was raised with CIA assistance, orgs in Xinjiang like the Uighurs are being armed by the US. Only PoK isn't included as India doesn't have any jurisdiction over it. Even India acknowledges Palestine separately, which doesn't mean we are biased towards the Palestinians.

3. The economic threat wasn't even perceived by the West until China started becoming rich. They considered Japan to be a threat to American hegemony, as they were economically much more powerful than China after the fall of the USSR. China became a threat only in the mid-2000's, at which point, the US was deeply involved in the Middle East and considered that to be a bigger threat than a random gook country which was still not capable enough to take on the US, while the US had the backing of most of the world's nations. China has only started to assert itself to the world in the last 5 years, by which point, it was too late for the US to switch gears. And they don't just take India to the WTO for protectionism, they take their own allies as well. They have done much worse things to the French than you can even think of. Look up Frederic Perucci. That is just one example.

4. There have been literal Carrier group passages through the SCS year-round, while one destroyer entered Indian waters. This has been done to most of America's allies, including Japan. Doesn't provide any justification, but it is a false equivalence, comparing what happened a few days back vs American actions against China.

5. What sanctions? I don't see any American sanctions. Meanwhile, the US has delisted companies, attacked Chinese tech cos, forced other countries to chuck Huawei, put sanctions on some of the CCP's most senior officials. Plus, I will believe the S400 sanctions only when I see them. I would be willing to bet good money that an S400 sanction never takes place.

6. Those "vested" interests, have been planted by the Chinese. They were due to Chinese work, and they aren't large enough(yet) to be considered a threat.

I am not saying that the West is our besht fraand, who should be trusted till the end of times, but when we are fighting against the Chinese, they are our best bet, and much to the dismay of several people here, the US is putting up a fight against the Chinks. I am not denying that there are forces in the West who have an agenda against India, as is seen very clearly in the Media, but, whether you like it or not, China is against us, and will continue to remain so, and the West is putting up a fight.

They may differ with us on certain values, but when it comes to business and their own survival, the West couldn't give a damn about democracy and liberalism. The ironic mentality which is prevalent in India is that our ties with Russia are declining due to our own fault, while our ties with the West are declining due to their fault. Till now, nothing has happened which should make us suspicious of the West, but we must always remain wary of the US, and ensure that we are never dependent on them. Until then, improve ties with them.

P.S. I also believe that the term, the "West" has become irrelevant over the last year. EU-US ties are rockbottom, with the EU attempting to gain self-dependency; France is trying to take over Europe; Britain is just adrift in the middle of nowhere, having left the EU and having antagonized the US due to the breaking of the Good Friday deal; Germany and France differ massively on foreign policy, as was seen with China. The different factions of the "West" may still collaborate, but we cannot consider them to be one homogenous entity with groupthink.

We should consider arming Iran with modern weapons from our Arsenal.
That's the way to deal with burger boys.
As our economy increases we should oppose USA more and more everyday.

Quad seems to be a failure so go with Japan and Australia kick out Murica.

If CIA can influence people than so can we, where the hell is our CIA?

China had warm relations with USSR for seed technology for nukes and was cordial with France even after Sino Soviet split which helped them a lot in nukes too and not just aerospace industry.
i don't think he anyway isn't referring to US helping China in nukes in cold war. US and China had been allies since early 70s and tech transfers had begun since 80s. Nuclear cooperation began in 90s and stopped after China became a problem for US.

February 15, 1996. A Chinese Long March 3B carrying a $200 million Loral satellite explodes 22 seconds after lilftoff.

March 14, 1996. President Clinton shifts control over regulating the export of communications satellites from the State Dept. which was primarily concerned with national security aspects of such exports, to the Commerce Dept., which is concerned with the economic benefits.

May 10, 1996. The Loral-led review commission investigating the February rocket explosion completes and passes on to Chinese officials its report, which according to the April 13, 1998 New York Times, discusses “sensitive aspects of the rocket’s guidance and control systems, which is an area of weakness in China’s missile programs.” The New York Times says that a Pentagon report concludes that, as a result of this technology transfer, “United States national security has been harmed”.

May 23, 1996. President Clinton calls for renewal of MFN for China, saying that renewal would not be “a referendum on all China’s policies,” but “a vote for America’s interests.”

June 8, 1996. China conducts an underground nuclear test.

July 21, 1996
. Johnny Chung, according to the New York Times, brings Liu Chao-ying to two DNC fundraisers, including a $25,000 per couple dinner. Liu Chao-ying is a Lieutenant Colonel in the People’s Liberation Army and an executive at China Aerospace, which owns the Great Wall Industry Corp. that makes Long March rockets. Her father is the top commander of Chinese military forces. The New York Times says that Chung has told the Justice Dept. that Liu gave him the better part of $100,000 he contributed to the DNC in the latter part of 1996, and that the source of the money was the PLA.

July 29, 1996. China declares a moratorium on nuclear testing after conducting another nuclear test.

August 8, 1996. According to AP, Clinton meets again with Long Beach officials to advocate turning over the naval base to COSCO.

September 24, 1996. At the UN, President Clinton joins with the foreign ministers of China, France, Russia and Great Britain in signing the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty forbidding all testing of nuclear weapons.

November 5, 1996. President Clinton wins reelection. According to the Center for Responsive Politics, the single largest Democratic donor during the election cycle was Loral CEO Bernard Schwartz, who gave $632,000 in ‘soft money’ to the Democratic Party between 1995 and 1996. The State Dept. issues regulations shifting responsibility for satellite launching licenses to the Commerce Dept.

January 1997. The Panamanian government awards the contract to operate the Atlantic and Pacific ports of the Panama Canal to a Hong Kong company, Hutchison Whampoa. China takes control of Hong Kong six months later. The United States, which is set to relinquish control of the canal next year, does not protest.

March 25, 1997. While in Beijing for a meeting with Premier Li Peng and President Jiang Zemin, Vice President Gore attends signing ceremonies for Boeing’s $685 million sale of five jetliners to China’s state-owned Civil Aviation Administration as well as a $1.3 billion joint venture between General Motors and China’s state-owned Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp.

May 1997. According to the April 13, 1998 New York Times, a classified Pentagon report reveals that Hughes and Loral scientists “had turned over expertise that significantly improved the reliability of China’s nuclear missiles” following the February 1996 rocket explosion. Hughes and Loral deny the New York Times report when it is published in 1998.

May 19, 1997. President Clinton announces that he will authorize MFN renewal for China.

October 1997. Chinese President Jiang Zemin makes a state visit to the United States. During the trip, he stops at a Hughes site to discuss satellites.

January 15, 1998. After China promises that it will no longer aid Iran’s nuclear program, President Clinton certifies that China is a reliable partner for nuclear technology exchange.

February 19, 1998. Despite opposition from the Justice Dept, President Clinton signs a waiver approving the launch of a Loral satellite from a Chinese rocket and reportedly authorizing the transfer of the same type of technology that the Pentagon said had “harmed” US security and that the Justice Dept. was investigation Loral and Hughes for their illegally transferring in 1996.

The same Bill Clinton was acerbic and vitriolic after our nuke tests in 1998 and put us under heavy sanctions.

US literally held back CTBT for China at that time dreaming for a strong ally in future. And even today India will be immediately thrown under the bus if China offers to make a fair deal with west.

Americans are squealing now only since they don't seem to be able to take down PRC like USSR or Japan. There is no reason to not to believe that India has been being preempted for deacees.

Why Is Australia Building Missiles? Because America Might Hoard All Its Missiles For Itself

If nations can hoard vaccines, they can also hoard missiles, which are expensive items that would . So, Australia wants to be sure that in the event of a conflict – say, with China – its allies won’t turn off the missile spigot.

“The objective of this local manufacture is to reduce dependency on the U.S. supply chain during wartime,” Malcolm Davis, a senior analyst at the Australian Strategic Policy Institute, told me. “A continued reliance on the U.S for the supply of missiles may be at risk during a major power war, such as what could happen in the event that China were to attack Taiwan. The U.S. would need to prioritize its own needs in such a war.”

Umrian allies are learning the hard way...that USA is the spanner which can get in the work.

India has a lesson here.
USA can never be trusted to counter china, though USA would cry about china everywhere .

Don't you think WION is being increasingly opted by the US deep state/Democratic Party? In Google news of US version, there are WION news being shown, you will never see Swarajya there, also there have been a string of interviews of deep state loyalists like John Bolton after he started going against Trump, John Panetta (ex CIA chief) and many others.... Old pawns in India are no longer powerful, they are creating new ones, haha

WION’s first editor in chief was ex-CNN employee. Once some news agency goes into that orbit, I doubt they can come out of it. I suspect there will be very tight contractual obligations, to make sure this happens.

WION is a bit nationalistic in general and isn't going to be a pawn of wokes, at least in near future. It might change though if India's government does.

It's India's international news channel like CGTN of China, CNN of America, BBC of UK, RT of Russia and All Jazeera of Arabs and is getting attention as a mouthpiece of Indian state representing an Indian worldview of geopolitics.
