Mumbai Metro Line 6 almost ready, but where are the trains?

While 75 per cent civil work is over and on track to meet October 2024 deadline, there is no sight of orders for rolling stock

Line due for commissioning in late 2024 . Tenders floated in mid 2023 in spite of the lead time being 6-9 months with another year required for line testing with trainsets running on them. Tenders cancelled for non compliance last year itself.

Then there's the issue of the car shed which is a separate topic in itself. Result - though the line would be ready in the last quarter this year, it'd be commissioned in late 2026 as per this report but in all likelihood a year or two later .
