There has been an undersea explosion with radiation detected about 120 nautical miles south east of the Paracel Islands, South China Sea.

Could it be a nuclear test? An fatal accident aboard an SSN/SSBN? Developing story.

Interestingly, no seismic anomalies detected, and western press is quiet, although if something happened, NORAD would have surely detected it.

Looks very much a fake news . no one else is talking about this incident apart from this handle. Such a serious issue is not at all picked out by anyone in one of the most heaviest shipping lanes with high traffic

China has already sunk a Sub in testing of JL 2. Looking to poor quality Chinese subs, accident is more likely.

The explosion most likely was from weapons stored on the submarine. In this day and age, when controlled nuclear reaction is a common knowledge, explosion of a nuclear reactor on a submarine is highly unlikely. The question is what could have caused the weapons on the submarine to explode?

It could have been something else that exploded. They are testing JL-3, something could have gone wrong with the launch sequence and exploded the entire launch deck. The radiation would leak from an exposed reactor without it having been the cause of failure. The hull losing pressure would cause a large shock wave by itself, couple that with several missile tubes going up it would easily be detectable by seismometer.

Russian Watchdog Detects ‘Radiation Incident’ in South China Sea
A Rospotrebnadzor statement said radiation levels are not high enough to threaten the Russian population.

The Russian government’s consumer protection watchdog Rospotrebnadzor said Friday it has detected a “radiation incident” in the South China Sea.

“Based on data received from the Global Environmental Monitoring System, there’s an increase in background radiation in the South China Sea in connection with a radiation incident,” Rospotrebnadzor said in an online statement.

It added that the radiation levels did not “currently threaten the Russian population” and that it “has increased its radiation monitoring in the adjacent border areas.”

Military analysts reported Saturday that an 11,000-ton Chinese nuclear missile submarine had surfaced among Vietnamese fishing boats in the South China Sea in September.

This is where a the news generated:

An unknown website, run by some individuals.

No, China Did Not Secretly Detonate a Nuke in the South China Sea to Signal the Start of WWIII -gizmodo
Gizmodo is pro hi-tech media.

Go and check the website http://www.shipxy.com/ all the business lines of ships cross the South China sea, as normal as before. nothing happened. If there is radiation, all the transportant companies who send ships over the region will know. Also the insurance companies will sent alarm.

I always treat Armand2REP's judegment as shitty, never forget his prediction on J20... tired to paste here again....

Let us review...

Russian Federal service confirms a "radiation incident"

Jin class submarine had serious issues in September and had to make emergency surface

And now nuclear fuel pellets washing up south of Okinawa.

They are tightly controlling the incident..hmmm...

The PLAN has the entire southern fleet out to sea today, they must be conducting a massive search operation to find their lost submarine before the Americans find it first.
Where's the news of it?
Even a tweet from a big source will be HELPFUL.
This is big you know if the entire south fleet is there.

The Americans insist on a nuclear submarine blast from China, in the South China Sea.
RINGER. - 25 Nov 2019 - 23:00

A Chinese Shang-class nuclear-attack submarine-093 exploded Wednesday afternoon in what appears to be an accident in the highly disputed South China Sea, according to Pentagon sources speaking on condition of anonymity.

Immediately after the incident, graphs depicting increased levels of radiation near China's Hainan naval base surfaced online, creating unreasonable fears that the Communist nation deliberately warned a nuclear weapon in response to US and US support for the United States. .

Our source, however, said there was no evidence to support such a theory, and that Beijing briefed the White House shortly after a "malfunction" in the submarine reactor area, which triggered a cataclysmic explosion that killed 72 .

"If that were appropriate, the president would be on television last night saying America is at war with China. There is no way around it. And US military bases around the world would be alert, especially in the Asian theater. But it's work as usual, "our source said.

In addition, the explosion occurred 530 kilometers from Hong Kong and 1200 kilometers from Taiwan at a reported depth of 75 meters. Unlike nuclear explosions on the surface and in the air, underwater explosions leave little or no visible evidence. the pressure of the water is so high that with the rapid contraction the flame collapses simultaneously.

In shallow eruptions, a condensation cloud can overturn the water. In any case, the radioactive material that can remain for thousands of years, depending on the leaking isotopes, infects huge quantities of seawater. If Xi Jinping ordered a nuclear explosion anywhere in the South China Sea, the prevailing plague guarantees to irradiate its population long before polluted waters reach far shores. China would have willingly set up a Fukushima-like event to endanger its own population.

"The White House is convinced this is an accident," our source repeated. "Xi Jinping is a communist crazy about power, but he's not an idiot. He is not going to kill his people, "our source said.

Although accidents involving nuclear submarines are considered rare, eight hulls are currently inactive in seabed throughout the world's oceans, their reactors possibly intact.

The White House did not rule out a second possibility: Sabotage.

Whether an accident or sabotage, a nuclear explosion of any magnitude, whether on land or at sea, could create an ecological crisis from which the planet can never recover.

Dr. Terrence Sykes, Professor of Nuclear Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana, wrote: "Most of the material released will penetrate the water and be absorbed by soil, plants and animal life in the immediate vicinity of the surrounding region. infection.

Tell me this isn't related...

22 November 2019

According to information from the Global Network for Environmental Monitoring, there was an increase of background radiation in connection with a radiation incident. RosPotrebnadzor increases monitoring of the radiation situation in the adjacent border areas. There is currently no threat to the population of the Russian Federation’, the statement said.

Today the Igor Belousov rescue ship left Vladivostok to carry long-distance sailing tasks. The crew of the rescue ship is set to take part in a joint Russian-Vietnamese training exercise aimed to help a grounded submarine.
