1. China doesn't want indian to be the member of SCO.

2. SCO is not a military club like NATO.
Russian indeed wants to make SCO another NATO,but China wants SCO to be another EU .
Russians do and that's what matters , and SCO is viewed as military club .

Hi Baddy looks like i'll have to educate you like the old days here is a link

UN Security Council Seat: China Outsmarts India - UN Security Council - Global Policy Forum
well, so you always like accepting one clueless sentence in such a crappy article?:2guns:

thanks for you quoted! now at least I know how some indian people study history!.....wow:blum3:

BTW. China was already the veto-holder in 1955,when you said " India gifted the veto to CHIna". but at that time, China is "Republic of China" in Taiwan, intead of " the People's Republic of China" in Mainland CHina.

the veto is given to CHina just because CHina is the main victors of WW II, intead of the gift from India.

the value of Veto is decided by main power's atitude to UN.

If major powers like USA, CHina,Russia and EU do cooperate UN and help UN keep its authority in the world, then UN indeed is somebody in the world and the veto is very valuable.

but if major powers like USA,china ,Russia were to look on UN as useless BUll$hit and disobey UN's solutions, then UN would be a useless bull$hit and the veto of UN would be very very cheap and useless.

So ,if India is not as powerful as USA,CHina,Russia, then veto is not very useful to India....

China isn't a major power. Considering India could've been there if not for one guy and the way US controls the thing, US is the only major power in that circle and UN is useless as far as US is concerned in the end. China is just there cause someone was too friendly with her.. and payed for it.

well IN WW II, In the China theater , Japanese won battles but lost the war. CHinese lost lots of battle and won the war.

Japanese should have had the chance to defeated the divided and armless China which even could provide Chinese soldier enought bullets and rifles.

But Japanese political leaders and their generals were too shortsighted.....

Completely Agree with this logic.:113:

Similarly, if India is growing in power, than giving it legitimate power(and responsibility) in the form of veto would actually strengthen the UN. If UN does not represent the power equations of the modern world properly, than it would definitely become useless.
Giving veto to both UK and France is not accurate representation. There should be one collective veto for EU, then Asia must have more than one Veto Member, the logical countries would be China and India. UN's present structure, IMO, does not represent the power equations of Europe or Asia properly, rendering it useless in many ways. To strengthen it, some reshuffling and new additions are necessary.

You seem to have studied the wrong history book then. Oh wait yes the CCP published history.
Thank your stars that the west saved your country. Otherwise a lot more of your countrymen would have comforted the Japanese.

1. Today, France and UK are still stronger than India in almost every fields including economy ,military and tech.
PLS don't tell how many India's PPP is .
PPP is buill$hit when measuring countries' economy influence.

2. if France and UK are not qualitifed for veto, then India should be less qualitfied.

3. when India can suprass France and UK is still a big problem.

4. UN's present structure is not perfect, but still better than a UN with G4 holding vetos.

BADGUY China was saved by USA

well, it was millions of Chinese soldiers and brave civilians who saved the ass of China!

Don't forget that We chinese fought Japanese for 4 years independently during 1937-1941 and succeeded in keeping Japanese army away from west China.

when sino-japan war broke out in 1937, CHina still a pre-industrilized countries and could not provide its soldier enough bullets and rifles while Japanese was already a industrailized power and could massproduce world most advanced battleships and aircrafts.

BTW, it is just the experience during WW II that teach chinese that only indigenious defence industry is reliable.....:2guns: but it is pitiful that Indian people can harldy understand it.

same comparision can be made with China and Japan and using your parameters Japan should be in the UNSC rather than China.

No no, we understand,. Infact, as we speak, Indian products are being filled with lead and made sure they last WHOLE 2hrs (only in perfect vacuum condition). Soon world will talk of our shitty product quality as well as yours, brother.

frankly speaking ,before 2000, if just measured by hare power, japan and German indeed were in the better position than CHina.....but it is pitiful that

1, Japan and west german were as WW loser ....during cold war, it was impossbile for WW loser to get veto of UN...

2. after cold war ended in 1989 and before CHina really emerged in 2000 or so , Japan had a "opportunity window" of a decade to become veto-holder.but pitifully , Japan paid more attention to economy depression than veto.

3.after 2000, China emerge so rapidly that it is impossible for japan to win veto when CHina disaaproves it .
