The difference between us is that you are looking only at short term interest, I'm more worried about the impact of that myopic worldview.
We need to act to destroy our enemies before they come to our doorstep. Its a simple case of choosing the lesser evil.
There is nothing called "long-term", if you cannot protect your Present then you cannot protect your Future either. We Indians have several ways of amusing ourselves, like disregarding our real needs for something imaginary and glittering in future.

Why should we "choose", let the two Evils fight it out, bleed and weaken each other, and once we have built sufficient strength we must deliver the death-blow on whoever survives.

This Jihadi mess was their creation, let them clean up their mess.

The problem remains that we cannot ignore their Frankenstein because old Frankie won't ignore us.

@CrYsIs

I never fail to be amazed at the amount of nonsense that one person can spew.

So Bangladesh is an example to the rest of the world now? What the devil is this? Why do you treat us to your pompous homilies every week? India is completely shit, Bangladesh is an "example to the rest of the world". What sort of nonsense are you spewing, really?

And understand this clearly - no one is making "allegations" here. We are just calling out the Brits for their hypocrisy w.r.t. "terrorism". Its terrorism only when White men are affected. Otherwise its "legitimate aspirations" and such shit, in case of Khalistan and Kashmir etc.

Diabolical socialism of the Congress was indeed bad for India. But its just a useless hypothetical waste of time to try to guess who was "better" and who was "worse". Remember that we were left with a starving nation with almost zero industry, literacy rate of 12%. And a bureaucracy built to extract wealth. The diabolical socialism of Congress prevented us from achieving our potential, but do remember that the green revolution, white revolution made us self-sufficient in food, from being a ship-to-mouth nation under the British. There are many more instances like this.

Anyway, since you want the world to "emulate Bangladesh's example", I am sure you would find a much greater sense of pride living in Bangladesh. After all, I see Bangladeshis all over India, from maids and rickshaw-wallahs in NCR to hospital cleaners in Bangalore to sweepers in Mumbai. I'm sure they wouldn't mind having such a self-critical brilliant mind such as yourself in Bangladesh, in return.

You are highly misinformed and disillusioned.Perhaps you should step out of banglore to see the real India.
The India of rebels, the India of unemployed youths, the India of utter despair.

You cannot see the ocean of poverty while living in an island of prosperity.

Bangladesh despite being much poorer than India has performed better than India is many socio economic indicators:

And the most important one being number of households having toilets and the total fertility rate.48% of Indians lack access to toilets as compared to just 2.5% in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh's fertility rate is now around 2.1 as compared to 2.5 for India.

Who is in denial that India of today is better than it was under British. But this applies to every other former colonies in the world.Even Somalia to today is better than it was 20 years ago.

But this "better" would become "worse" if we compare our country to others.

The countries who were in similar position as we were at the time of independence are far ahead of us now. Those who were worse off than us just a few decades ago are now catching upto us.

And despite the green revolution introduced by Norman borlaug,India's agricultural productivity remains very low.And what could be a cruel joke is the fact that despite record food productivity, significantly large portion of the population remains undernourished.
India's success in the past 70 years has been very minimal with the country adding more problems than solving them.

And nobody in the west supports the anti Indian stance with regards to Khalistan or Kashmir. Most choose to remain neutral.

Yes there are voices in their countries supporting the separatist causes in India but it must be understood that democracy in Europe is different from the rest of the world. Separatism despite being perceived to be anti national are still seen as an admissible voice which must be heard.

Anyways,My point is that we should get above this childish blame game. There is no point in blaming others when majority of our sufferings is our own creation.

The whole idea that somebody could take pleasure over death threats to women and children from terrorists is indeed loathsome and abhorrent, no matter what historical baggage we carry.

Coming to the current situation, UK needs to reassess it's so called liberal policies and act tough on these Islamists living and feeding off the state. They must be identified and booted out if the UK has to survive.

Where will those Jihadis go after UK boots them out? Let them stay in UK, let the rest of them invade UK and create trouble for UK instead of any other country. They (UK and Jihadis) never had any problem killing women and kids of other nationality and race. UK is yet to apologize for massacres committed in India (remember Jalianwala?).

Back then, some Morally and Ethically superior Brown Sahibs, including the MOFO Gandhi had guts to condemn the killing of Michael O'Dwyer by the patriot Udham Singh, but could not gather courage to resist hanging of our Freedom Fighters. Some Indians are so morally superior and righteous that they will sell their neighbour's mother for world peace.

I doubt anybody here is going to take 'pleausre' if the threats come true.

However, it wont be extremely distressful for us either. Millions die evrywhere worldwide every year, and much of thise deaths are because of the western policies. Most of the African conflicts were fueled by departing europeans and the Britts were in particular deft at leaving a country in such a political mess which later turned out to recipe for decades of civil wars and masscres simply because they wished to have future leverages. Eg. Uganda. The relatively peaceful ME have been shot up and screwed up, and millions of civilians killed in last 2 deacdes alone were because of adventurism by the western warminger club in which UK holds a prize position. The lion's share for creating the mess world is right now lies squarly on western powers and in extension to UK. Now UK being a democracy, its civilians are equally responsible.

Also, if your UK intellectuals and surprisingly majority of its population cannot accept the truth of islamic extremism and get rid off political correctness hat white washes the rising risk of islam at their own land in the name of multi-culturism, it is their own fault.

Most of these Jihadi elements in the UK are from ---- you guessed it correctly Pakistan. Let our western neighbour stew in it's own troubles.

But we have to remember that these Jihadi elements could target Indians in the UK.
Case in point is the senior Indian Embassy staffer who was killed by British Khalistanis in the 80s in London.

The Biggest mistake the Brits and the Yanks ever made is when they bankrolled the degenerate incest born Al-Sauds to the throne of Saudi Arabia. They tried to create a client state (ring a bell there Iraq, Afghanistan) and ended up creating a cesspool of immensely wealthy retards who fund terror for a hobby.
Now the retards have turned on their financiers ,with Iran relations improving t
he Saudi/Sunni relations with the west may change? Pakistan's geographic location
may also no Longer be valued?

For the west -yes the geopolitical value of Pakistan has reduced substantially since the end of the cold war and the defeat of the Taliban. I personally expect the Iranians to step in as the major logistical partner while the Afghans do most of the heavy lifting. The ayatollahs are cannier than we imagine and they will bend domestically as long as the presence of western troops takes care of the immediate sunni Wahhabi threat in the form of ISIS and the Talibs.
For China however Pakistan remains as potent an ally as ever. The primary goal there is to needle India and the rawalpindi generals take special pleasure at being zhongnanhai lapdogs. This is the larger concern for us.

Chinese economy and stock market is gone for at least the next ten years?
A lot of their projects and Pakistani pipe dreams are over.

That's true, the bubble had to burst someday. Theres only so long you can buy your own goods using your own money and call it growth. However their fall will hit us hard as well, how hard will become clear in the coming months.

We export raw material, metal to China and import electronic, telecom equipment. India will get hit, but the impact will be limited to certain sectors. With fall of China price of raw material (including coal and iron ore) and Crude Oil will come crashing down, which suites us.
