ASELSAN TULGAR HMDS(Helmet Mounted Display System for TFX)

TULGAR System is a helmet-mounted display system designed by ASELSAN for fixed-wing platforms. It incorporates digital night vision, color display, and precise head tracking technologies to enhance the pilot's awareness of the aircraft's capabilities and the mission area.

System Subunits:
• Helmet Unit
• Electronic Unit
• Head Tracking Module

Thanks to its advanced optical design, the TULGAR system provides a wide field of view and high-resolution images reflected onto the visor to support pilots during the mission. The helmet unit is made of lightweight composite materials and an inner shell customized for the user to provide an ergonomic solution to pilots. Active and passive noise-canceling capabilities prevent noise from the platform and other sources from reaching the pilot.

The integrated digital night vision capability of the system enables it to be used without requiring any changes to the helmet unit during both day and night missions.

The TULGAR System is suitable for fixed-wing platforms and is ready for use in challenging environmental conditions due to its durable design.

General Specifications:
• Lightweight helmet unit

I was at the event yesterday(TEKNOFEST, a science and technology festival where over a million young contestants compete for the prizes) and saw KIZILELMA fly in person. It was very cool and imposing. As it gets further along in the testing campaign, it will move more like a fighter jet. And with the upgraded engines(AI-322F) it will become a beast.

TAI CEO, Temel Kotil:

* TFX KAAN first flight December 2023
* TFX KAAN first delivery in 2028(20 aircrafts)
* First flight with indigenous engine in 2028.
* Delivery with indigenous engine in 2030.
Which indigenous engine ?

The engine that TEI has been developing. A full-blown 5th gen engine with reduced IR signature, 35k+ wet thrust. TF6000 engine was not developed for the sake of our UCAV programs. That's the secondary benefit. TF6000 was developed to validate the R&D and correct the assumptions and test 5th gen features on a smaller engine without attempting testing everything on a much costlier TF35000.

A more reasonable approach would be, imo, to design an engine in Kaveri's class before TF35000 to make us more grounded in the tech but due to the circumstances they skipped that step(or they didn't disclose it yet).

Good luck, but remember afterburner will be a problem can achieve dry thrust with not much time
But if they are not going for a kaveri class but going directly then they need to pour huge amount in research with partnership from other country which is advanced in this

That's how they do...good in photos, less in substance.
At least we have fotos, what do you have?
Which Turkish defence project was less in substance?
If you open your big mouth,im sure you can name a failed project, right big mouth?

There is no reason to be overly-optimistic or overly-pessimistic. We have no operational turbofan engine yet. But we've been producing, assembling, repairing, maintaining many critical components of western turbofan programs. The closest engine to TF35000 we had our hands on is F110. TEI's role in the manufacturing;

These are the parts of F110 that are produced by TEI(many parts of AB)

Furthermore, TF6000 has an afterburner version called TF10000. TF10000 was designed in parallel and will be test fired in 2024. The progress of those platforms will tell us about our level and if we're up for the task or not.
