Remarkable indeed, they are planning a navy to compete with UK and France. Unfortunately, it is beyond their economic capabilities.
Yes.

But they are using these developments to capture some market. They are selling this to countries and making money.

I see more and more similarities between Turkey and China :
- Fast improvement in weapons developpments and army strenght.
- A less and less democratic politic management.
These country will be the next potential opponents for the west. It's as 1 + 1 = 2.
Turkey is no china buddy

Remarkable, yes. But lack of carrier, lack of nuclear subs, so 2nd rank as for now.
Instead of bread for people, Erdogan's way is to improve its army. Disturbing.
Everyone has to improve thier army sovereignty is important
We can't have leave everything to fate like india is doing in the case of china
I would like it if we were more dictator like a farmer protest destroyed the law that would have improved our agricultural sector by leaps and bounds you can imagine nothing like this happens in China turkey a little more power to the government is better in my opinion right now we give too much power to the citizens here
Every anti Indian hack can do anything here and claim something else
A fking comedian can say traitorous words on national television
A rag (caravan) can segregate our soilders into caste at their demise
We have too much freedom and at the same time not enough of it
But for sure edrogan is pretty idiotic even most Turks agree on defence.hub

And these are not even in development yes ?
What's thier current fleet composed of how many submarines and warships don they have
Ada Class Corvette

The project is completed. The latest of the corvettes was delivered in 2019. And already exported to a few countries.

Displacement2,400 tonnes
Length99.56 m (326 ft 8 in)
Beam14.40 m (47 ft 3 in)
Draft3.90 m (12 ft 10 in)

Istanbul(I) Class Frigate

The first frigate, TCG Istanbul(F 515), was launched last year. She is expected to be commissioned in 2023. And every year one frigate will be commissioned until there're four.

Displacement3,000 tonnes
Length113.2 m (371 ft 5 in)
Beam14.40 m (47 ft 3 in)
Draft4.05 m (13 ft 3 in)

Hisar Class OPV

Critical design is finished and the first ship construction began in April this year. There will be a total of 10 OPV delivered to Turkish Navy. It is already exported to a few countries before even commissioned.

  • Overall length: 99,56 meters
  • Beam: 14,42 meters
  • Draft: 3,77 meters
  • Maximum speed: 24 knots
  • Displacement: 2300 tons

Multi Purpose Amphibious Assault Ship

It was launched in 2019. It's in sea acceptance trials since June and is expected to be commissioned by the end of this year. It's the same design as that of the Spanish Juan Carlos I. Normally, apart from its role of amphibious assault, we aimed to use F-35Bs on this ship. But since we're no longer part of the program and sanctioned by the US, we intend to use this class as a drone carrier along with its other roles. Baykar has been developing TB3 and KIZILELMA as a carrier-capable drones. I'm not sure if TCG Anadolu(the first of this class) can be fitted with necessary support systems(like arresting gear) to become a drone carrier but the next ship, TCG Trakya, will be able to launch and land drones, for sure.

Displacement27,079 tons ("amphibious assault ship" configuration)[7] / 24,660 tons ("STOVL aircraft carrier" configuration)[7]
Length232 m (761 ft 2 in)[6]
Beam32 m (105 ft 0 in)[6]
Draught6.9 m (22 ft 8 in)[5]

Reis Class Submarine

The Reis-class submarines are Type 214 submarines featuring air-independent propulsion (AIP) using fuel cell technology.
First of the submarines is expected to be delivered in 2023. Every year another submarine will be commissioned until there are 6.

Displacement~ 1,850 t (1,820 long tons; 2,040 short tons)
Length68.35 m (224.2 ft)
Beam6.30 m (20.7 ft)

MILDEN Submarine Program(National Design)

“MILDEN is designed as a diesel-electric submarine with a displacement of about 2,700 tons and a length of over 80 meters, and is powered by an air-independent propulsion system. Compared to our current submarines, MILDEN will stay submerged longer, have a heavier weapons load and be able to operate at greater depths.”
“We plan to start building our national submarine in 2025 and deliver to the Navy in the early 2030s.”

This is a very brief information about these programs. The most important things about these national projects are the used indigenous subsystems. The real value is there. But since there are too many components and projects on that regard, I'm gonna write about them in another day, if you'll excuse me.

Edit: I realized I forgot about TF2000 destroyer. I'm gonna write about it in another post(since editing is time-limited in DFI).

From what i understand your navy focuses more on external modes of attack ?
Taking out LPDs that can carry helicopters for use and TB2 drones for attack since most of your neighbours are weaklings like Greece that don't actually have a formidable navy your ships are less armed in conventional missiles ?

I only wrote about the programs that @Fatalis posted. There's of course more.
German submarines are hydrogen fuel cell based they are good very good but not top of the line now
Now membrane based AIP is at the top of the leader board them composite fuel cell based AIP like PABFC

Wait a minute where will you get this ?

Anadolu (L-400) is an amphibious assault ship of the Turkish Navy that can be configured as a STOVL aircraft carrier.
An F-35 is needed for this or are you going to fly helicopters from ,it ?
