What is sure is that Turkey is moving hard to increase all range of weaponery.
It is made against the turkish people who is struggling against high rate inflation (officially more than 60% this year, and far far more according to some turkish sources).
I think Erdogan is a real threat for the region peace.

@rodeo do you have a dedicated space rocket program? I recently saw the video on Tayfun launch and was wondering whether Turkey is planning a complete program of ballistic missile arsenal independent of NATO's command structure.

We have a space program. Roketsan has launched several probe rockets to space for testing many national subsystems, sensors, software etc. and achieved some milestones. These milestones are,

  • Solid-Propellant Rocket Motor with Thrust Vector-Control feature
  • Aerodynamic hybrid control driven by Thrust Vector Control, and electromechanically controlled propulsion
  • Multiple firings in space by the Liquid-Propellant Rocket Engine
  • Precise orientation control in space environment
  • Inertial Precision Navigation based on national sensors and a national Global Positioning System Receiver
  • Capsule detachment in space
  • Various structural and chemical materials and advanced processing techniques
The latest one has reached 136km altitude. Next year(2023), the company will launch 100kg payload to 300km above sea level(again a probe rocket, not orbit). Normally, we were going to launch a rocket to orbit with 100kg payload capacity in 2025 but the program has been updated. Now we're targeting launching 400kg payload capacity rocket to orbit to LEO in 2027.

This is great info. Thanks a lot! Start with baby steps, and you will become a space power soon. All the best to you guys.

This user "Kamil_baku" really doesn't know anything about Indian weopons development and their history and is whining here for nothing.

IMG_20221021_144339.jpg

See this post of his, he says

"Indians couldn't even produce the tank and Tejas within 30 years."

We could not produce what? We have already produced nearly two Squadrons of Tejas and more 140+ units of Arjun tanks till date. What does he mean that India could not produce "the Tank and Tejas"? Its clear he does not have any idea about what he is saying and is plain bullshiting and nothing else.

Now come to another quote of his

"Even Russia kicked your *** of from Pakda as you didn't bring anything to the project that Russia cant do.."

This person, whoever he is, is truly terribly misinformed about the history of Indian weopons and how their Development went through. Russia never kicked us out, It was we who ourselves left it due to certain disagreements with the Russians over mostly tech transfer for Su-57. We wanted to pursue our own Indigenous AMCA project.

SORRY for going off-topic, let's Stay on topic and discuss only about Turkish defence Related stuff.

@rodeo god this is what you are trying to do ?
They will launch a rocket into space using spacex then thier rocket delta V will use the elliptical momentum to crash land on the moon
What's the benefit of this ?

Before you start blaming TEI with lying let’s get the facts straight.
TEI MD said that they have produced the core of a jet engine that leads the way to a turbofan. By producing the TS-1400 turbo shaft engine they have done exactly that. They have an indigenously designed and produced turbo shaft engine that works and is in integration stage to an indigenously produced “Gokbey“ multi purpose helicopter at the moment.
The TS-1400 is a radial flow turbo shaft engine. In order to try out the axial flow turbojet production, they produced the small TJ-300 turbojet engine that can power a medium range anti ship missile as an exercise of sorts. (This engine actually showed that it can lend itself quite well to practical applications.)
TEI also produces the T700 engine for the Blackhawk helicopters for Turkish defence forces. The hot sections and single crystal turbine blades of this engine is produced in house at TEI. It has more than 65% local production input.
TEI has the know how and expertise to produce turbofan engines. They have produced all the GE 110 engines used in Turkish and Egyptian F16 fighter jets. They do all the maintenance work on the F110-129 and F110-132 engines. TEI MD has openly stated that they can at TEI produce the F110 engine with over 50% local input level; with the rest being ancillaries that can be obtained from foreign sources.
There is a turbofan engine currently related to TEI (because of a patent application news has leaked) called TF6000. It has not been confirmed. But there are strong suggestions that this is an ongoing project at a very mature state.
Most of TEI’s indigenous work regarding Turkish military developments will never be published. They are not a university or a multinational engine design house that will publish their work for the benefit of their shareholders etc. Most of the work carried out is at ”state secret” level and under wraps due to foreign interference occurring in the recent months.
