From india's point of view , Byraktar is not threat . But this one can be . Stealth shape . Can carry air to air missiles and air to ground missiles with 1.5 ton capacity .

The speed of development seems very fast as well .
Any SEAD capable L/O aircraft is a massive threat. The Kizilelma is subsonic for now, with plans for a twin engined supersonic version with turbojets later on.

Will be very useful in firing a anti radiation missile and play role of loyal wingman with air to air missiles .

The Turkish group Baykar showed a video of the test launch from the Bayraktar Akinci UAV of the Roketsan IHA-230 supersonic missile. The launch was made from the fourth prototype of the Akinci B UAV, equipped with Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6 series turboprop engines instead of the previously installed Ukrainian AI-450T engines. Supersonic air-to-ground missile IHA-230 - can operate day and night at a distance of up to 140 kilometers. The missile is an effective means against stationary ground and sea targets, radars and air defense systems.

The first torpedo drop by Turkey's MIR SIDE maritime drone. The Turkish military company ASELSAN, showed the first firing of torpedoes without a crewed military boat MIR SIDA. Details about a military boat that can be used as a marine drone are not reported. It is known that the MIR SIDA boat can be equipped with American Mk 44, Mk 46 and Mk 54 torpedoes. In the background, you can see that the boat is escorted by the Turkish MARLIN SIDA naval drone

Turkish armored vehicle manufacturer Otokar showed off its new ALPAR unmanned armored vehicle. The prototype was demonstrated with the Otokar MIZRAK-30 combat module with a 30 mm cannon and the Roketsan OMTAS ATGM. The machine has a low thermal signature and can operate autonomously or be controlled remotely from a distance of up to 5 km. Otokar expects that the ALPAR robot will reduce the number of personnel performing tasks on the battlefield and reduce the risk to which they are exposed. The mass of the ALPAR robotic platform is 12 tons, the power plant is hybrid, diesel-electric with the possibility of full electric propulsion. The machine is controlled remotely by 2 people and it has a speed of up to 70 km/h, with a range of up to 500 km.

The TuAF is in a bad position as the IAF. They are facing increasing limitations in operating their older F-16s. The purging of their pilots was not a smart move either by Erdogan back in 2016.

After Erdogan said that Turkey would buy the jets from Germany, Scholz just dropped a bomb:

Looks like the Americans arm-twisted the UK and Germany into refusing the EFT. France is a no-no and the US is playing hardball.

That makes Russia and China the only other options until their local 5th-generation fighter KAAN is launched around the 2030s.

Hurjet cannot replace F-16s as it is a LIFT aircraft.

The US has been going hard against Ankara for the last four years.

Turkey might retaliate in three ways:

1. Let Russian warships transit the Bosphorus freely for a few trips until the US comes to the table.

2. Constricts ammunition and drone supply to Ukraine (while American attention is diverted towards the Israel-Hamas war)

3. Clamp down hard against the Armenian lobby in Washington by arming Azerbaijan with more of their armoured weapons and getting directly involved in the ongoing covert war between the two.

And the US and EU would even retaliate more by denying further support to Turkey’s fighter jet programs by ordering BAE and Lockheed employees to withdraw their employees and services and block any further access to advanced technology bringing those programs to a standstill just like US did with India’s LCA program.

Mark my words Turkey aint gonna do any of this 🤣. If they let russian ships in then the whole treaty will go down and then NATO ships can also enter the boshphorus strait and add to the fact that this in the end will return the black sea to being russian dominated which will end turkish naval dominance.Turkey even if they restrict arm supply to ukraine its peanuts. Some drones, and rocket artillery aint that great of a help and turkey has reduced its commitment to ukraine long time ago. People here were long running their mouths about how turkey will drown europe in a sea of refugees but did they do anything at the end? Turkey is just a husk of an old empire that thinks that its still the 1400s

Don't underwrite their capabilities yet. Turkey has been smart in negotiating for weapons and technology from the F-16 fighter jets to other political concessions in the region. They know that they have wiggle room to demand whatever they want given their geographical location and the current conflicts in Israel and Ukraine.

The only time when they will have to bow down to the rest of NATO would be when there are no wars in the region. Turkey can stay within NATO and become a pain in the rear in exchange for getting whatever technology they want from the members.

They have come far ahead in their military-industrial complex and have delivered compelling projects. They now have domestic LPDs that operate as drone carriers, and three major aerial UCAVs that can deliver lethal payloads far away. Their armored vehicles dot the landscape from Africa to Southeast Asia and several countries are lining up to buy their weapons. TB-2's success further fuels demand for the far more lethal TB-3, Akinci and the Kizilelma UCAVs.

The point is that Turkey is remarkably good at balancing their MIC needs by using bargaining tactics to ensure
that they get the best of East and the West while remaining in the so-called Western camp.

They havent even received the money they gave uncle sam on F35s yet. The whole bargaining tactic is begging for jets with western powers first for F16 and now they are begging for Typhoons which is getting stonewalled by Germany. Turkey doesnt have a choice other than the west and if they piss the west their whole Khan fighter is done. Having ambitions is great but should look at oneself before going on that ride thinking world is still 14th century

Not really. US has sentenced 26/11's mastermind in an FBI prison. We asked them several times. Tell me, has India been able to bump him off? No.

Turkey is negotiating what it can right now given the chips that it has. Considering its size, population, economy and region, Ankara is punching way above its weight. If we evaluate India by that proportion, we have barely started moving a muscle.

Let's give credit where due.

They have a militaristic tendency and that's what makes them clear obstacles faster than we do when it comes to MIC. We have a mindset that some imaginary hero would come and wave his magic wand and everything will be fixed.

Turks don't wait for that and hence we see the rapid progress in their MIC in the last 10-15 years. Erdogan realized that NATO will always treat Turkey like a stepson and it is happening. This treatment has nothing to do with Erdogan but precedes his rise to power. It takes a little digging up in Turkish language media but you will see deals getting stone-walled by the US, Germany, France, etc. back to the 80s when the Turks were trying to be more Western than Westerners.

Turkey's domestic politics and foreign policy towards Asia might be in the dumpster, but its MIC advancement is on point.

The Turkish defence industry is on the rise. The GCC is one of its top buyers.

Turkish jet UAV ANKA-3 made its first flight. The ANKA-3 heavy UAV was developed in 2022 by Turkish Aerospace Industries. The ANKA-3 UAV can perform many tasks, such as control and communication relay, reconnaissance, surveillance, and destruction of ground and air targets. The drone can hit enemy helicopters, propeller-driven aircraft and UAVs with air-to-air ammunition; to destroy ground targets, including radar and air defense systems, the drone has air-to-ground ammunition. The drone can also use large ammunition such as SOM-J, MK-82 and miniature SDB bombs. The ANKA-3 UAV can rise to a height of up to 12,000 meters, with a payload of up to 1,200 kilograms
