Pakistan will go full retard if we enter Afghanistan the problem is Taliban has unlimited resource of man power weapons and shelter in the form of Pakistan. if we enter Afghanistan we will be fighting on Pakistani terms not on ours they will choose time place of their choice to hit us Afghanistan has no basic civil administration guys if we go there we will not only lose our forces but any chance of making Afghanistan stand on its own for at least a decade what we are doing is correct help them in developmental work i don't know weather we have our SF's deployed there if they are its very good strategy.we are working with with Russia, America and to even some extent Iran there. we should increase capabilities by supplying weapons and training army of Afghanistan let afghans decide what they want
we should not get involved in internal politics of a country where most of its rulers are war lords who fought against each other

Thats what i am saying,we should not enter just right fucking now.

Create a ground,support pro-afghan militias and help afghanistan improve economically.

I believe these goals can be achieved in 5 years.

guys if you ask me we are working more closely with Russians and Iranians opposite to popular perception that we are working closely with USA
i think China Russia alliance on Afghanistan is temporary adjustment.
i would like point out Russia would not want Afghnistan to become another north korea with china as its closest ally and so does Iran if that happens both of them would not gain anything because instead of US hegemony they will witness Chinese hegemony which will become more difficult to get rid of because China has trump card called Pakistan and geographically nearer to Afghanistan so the main objective will be not to allow Afghanistan become satellite state of either US or China and so does we it would be better and i think we are quietly working with Iran and Russia and indirectly with Taliban (directly with some factions) via Russia and Iran to prevent Afghanistan to fall into lap of China or USA
