@Civ... dude answer my question, in your supposedly Commie- ideal ---- society, if i say i cant worrk more than one hour and that that is my capacity while others are working their ass off for ten hours, will i get all the benefits enjoyed by the others? Or will that supposedly great ideal free class less society even allow me to be like that?

Also answer dude, will you consider a office peon to be your equal and get the same salary as him? or the same bonuses and benefits of the supposed Commie world you are talking about when you can become a peon with 10th standard education but need years of study for becoming a programmer

But if you scratched this part of history you'll know that these "bands/clans/tribes" are always headed by the strongest member of the group. So if I may ask where's your "equality" even in this generalised prehistorical setting of yours?
The "strongest member of the group", in such a society, is always subject to the demands of the other members of the band/clan/tribe.

Of course, there is also plenty of anthropological evidence to suggest that collective group decision-making (democracy?) occurred in such societies, as it still does in many primitive societies around the world.

And yes, I am advocating that we return to such a society, except with modern technology.

Hahaha! You mean we go back to hunting and gathering briging along Iphones, Galaxies, Vaios, Ferraris, Porsches, Range Rovers, Suzuki Swifts, microwave ovens, Nike Air Max... Superb!

:hippo: man, answer his question instead of diverting it like the usual commies do. The group in itself will have a leader. so the what point is there to be a class less society

And how can be a computer engineer be equal to a office peon? This is what communism is :bs:

I must say you have the natural tendency to be dictatorial, of course all communists are. They think they know everything and will send anyone not toeing their line to Siberia to be forced to conform (reeducated) in a wink. BTW, "communist" NoKor is still maintaining "reeducation camps"...
I must say that your psychoanalysis of me is quite amusing considering how little you know of me from this inconsequential Internet encounter.

No, agriculture would still be the basis of society, but we would adopt the basic social organization of our early ancestors (with modifications to suit the modern world, of course).

Well taking off from how you practically rephrased the punchlines of Marxists: "the individual desires must be subservient to the collective needs of society," it will not take a rocket scientist to figure out where members of the society who would still insist on their desires are headed in a Marxist society...

I think you're supplying the long lost details of the "communist" stage which is glaringly missing in Marx's discourse. But exactly which of our ancestor's model are we going to be adopting in the communist society? The hunters and gatherers, the agrarian society, or the empire builders?

Anyway, history has already settled this debate. You can see for yourself the proof of communism's fall in the former Marxist socialist countries and the dilapidated communist outposts that are in terminal stage...
