Due to Trumps shenanigans about immigrants, it's now become a fashion to shoot them. He's given these racists a license to kill.

That's two in a row. If you put a right wing racist leader in power, such things are bound to happen.

US nixes expedited H1B visa even as India talks up ties
Chidanand Rajghatta | TNN | Updated: Mar 4, 2017
TNN
Foreign Secretary, S Jaishankar holding talks with US Secretary of State Rex W. Tillerson
HIGHLIGHTS
  • The Trump administration on Friday temporarily suspended the expedited premium processing of H1B visas
  • US told India that the H-1B visa issue+ is not a priority for the Trump administration.
WASHINGTON: The Trump administration on Friday temporarily suspended the expedited premium processing of H1B visas as part of its squeeze on what it said is an overloaded guest worker program. The suspension came even as New Delhi pressed, without success, for a fair and rational approach on the matter from a trade and business perspective.

The administration's decision was announced just hours after top Indian mandarins, Foreign Secretary S.Jaishankar and Commerce Secretary Rita Teotia , had urged Trump cabinet officials and lawmakers to view the H1-B visa issue as trade and services matter, and not an immigration one. ''If the Trump Administration's intention is to bring back American companies to the United States and attract more foreign investment in America, then it is important America remains competitive. So, there would actually be (a) growing need for this partnership,'' Jaishankar said at a briefing, suggesting that Indian skilled workers help the U.S economy and curtailing their entry could result in flight of jobs which the Trump administration is trying to prevent.

But even as the Indian officials said their ''forceful presentation'' to Congress and the administration over the past three days ''has been met with a degree of understanding,'' the U.S Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) brought the axe down on the expedited processing system which many Indian and American companies use to facilitate the entry, and sometimes rotation, of tens of thousands of skilled professionals for project work in the U.S. By paying an additional $1225 premium, companies can have a H1-B application processed within 15 days, whereas a standard process takes three to six months.

The issue is not about Muslims only, but to protect and put America first. Hate crimes against non wasps is not new, but its will take a whole new dimension under trump.

A surge in such crimes is imminent.

This is not the fault of Trump. He never said anything against Hindus but he hates Muzzies which is quite normal.

It's only unfortunate that Hindus and Sikhs look like Muzzies that's it.

@aditya 10r
It probably doesn't matter whether Trump has got something against Hindus or not. Hindus are the most successful immigrants in US and perform and earn more than the white Americans, they will be hated by those without a job or earning less than them. Maybe they should consider returning to motherland and Indian government should provide better opportunities for Indian talents to do something for India.

I can't trust Trump. He wants to make America great not Indians who he might not say but probably don't want them either.

You are right
Imagine the technical and economical edge we will get if 10% of the Indians return to India.

I have seen a video of Trump encouraging immigration from Europe (I can't find it, but for those who believe me you can rely on me and for those who don't, please look for it), definitely not something he'd say for Africans, Asians etc.

Whilst not an outright racial nationalist, Trump and his supporters probably want to conserve the US as a majority white country and primarily northern European at that.

He wants to put America first, get jobs for American workers, make foreign states pay for their defence etc, and is possibly the first president in a series of future presidents to go down the path of something akin to "semi-isolationism."

Several Bangladeshis have been killed and for the racists that are in America, a desi is a desi regardless of whether he is Indian or Bangladeshi.

This one?
I don't feel like the things that Trump says and decisions that he seems to be taking is his own. I suspect previous leaders too (maybe excluding Obama) and internal establishment share the same views as his but they don't speak because speaking such a thing would severe US ties with many countries and run a propaganda against US which normally US does against other nation states. Trump is the face they are using. It's not like US before Trump had an open door policy on immigration or gave citizenship to immigrants who were/are living illegally so what exactly is Trump doing different from them. He just says things the previous governments couldn't and create a propaganda where they are using media to encourage people to protest Trump as if he is the biggest devil in American history while supporting him and might be dictating his moves. If Obama, hillary Bush or someone else speaks and directs to curb immigration, speak on Islamic radicalisation or threaten to leave one China policy, their will be complete rejection of ties from China, Iran, Saudi Arabia etc. In Trump they have a face to use as excuse that it's someone else. Just a conspiracy theory from me.

Yes, thanks...that video!

1) Could you imagine Trump saying "I have many friends from Africa....great people....great students...they can't work here....how stupid is that? Top of your class in Harvard and you get thrown out of the country!"

I can't.

2) Yes.

Trump is an establishment insider and at the age of 34 in 1980 was interviewed and in a very calm matter of fact way speaking about being president in the same way we might speak about going to the supermarket.

Obama was a face the establishment put in, liberal, photogenic etc. However he did nothing for blacks, expelled more Latinos than any other president in history, put restrictions on Muslim migration and refugees e.g. CARRP laws, but the ignorant leftist fanboys don't complain.

To a degree I think Trump is doing things that the US elite or at least a certain faction of it wants to be done and then it can all be blamed on one "crazy maverick", rather than the US as a country.

The US has been promoting liberalism, multi-racialism, etc for decades and can't reverse this dramatically just like that now.....one way it can be done is for a "freak" to gain power and do "crazy" things.

3) However despite saying that I do think there is some sort of power struggle between elites in the US and that Trump represents one faction who are for the time being slightly more powerful.

I suspect Trump will leave office in about 3 years time before his tenure expires. He'll be replaced by Pence.

The question for me is how much of the conservative agenda in the US which people like Ben Carson, Betsy Devos will Pence implement?

How much of Bannon and Trumps ideas will Pence implement?

The conventional opinion is that Pence is as mainstream an establishment Republican as one can find and is a figure of the deep state and the Republican elite and of the MIC (military industrial complex).

I am afraid, there will be more news of Indians getting stabbed, killed or wounded. I read a few articles of Cops harassing some Sikhs, Hindus, other Indians and foreign nationals for unexplained reasons so I doubt their systems intentions. The people/communities who don't have much history or record of creating trouble should not be harassed without explanation of what possible crime they are suspected of. Unsure if my government can/will do something concrete except expressing sympathy.

There's a lot of white Americans who won't say it overtly as it's not PC, but they believe America is a white country and must remain so. Any non-white American even if born there and speaking with an American accent will always be a foreigner in their eyes. If Trump himself is or isn't about that, that's what many of those who voted for him want i.e.. "MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN" = "MAKE AMERICA WHITE AGAIN".

Countries like India or Bangladesh have little leverage over the USA. Maybe they can request someone in the Trump team to make a clear cut declaration on social media that targeting people of different ethnicities is completely unacceptable.

I have family in the US so it's of concern to me, but even in 2004 a relative told me that it's a racist society with pseudo-liberal racism in cities like NY but clear cut Xenophobia outside the big cities.

Another one...luckily he survived:

Sikh man shot at in US; attacker yelled 'go back to your own country'

Washington, on Friday when he was approached by a stranger, who walked up to his driveway.

Kent police said an argument broke out between the two men, with Rai saying the suspect made statements to the effect of "go back to your own country". The unidentified man then shot him in the arm.

The victim described the shooter as a six-foot-tall white man, wearing a mask covering the lower half of his face. Kent police are looking for the gunman.

Kent Police Chief Ken Thomas said while the Sikh man sustained "non life-threatening injuries", they are treating this as a "very serious incident".
