This one?
I don't feel like the things that Trump says and decisions that he seems to be taking is his own. I suspect previous leaders too (maybe excluding Obama) and internal establishment share the same views as his but they don't speak because speaking such a thing would severe US ties with many countries and run a propaganda against US which normally US does against other nation states. Trump is the face they are using. It's not like US before Trump had an open door policy on immigration or gave citizenship to immigrants who were/are living illegally so what exactly is Trump doing different from them. He just says things the previous governments couldn't and create a propaganda where they are using media to encourage people to protest Trump as if he is the biggest devil in American history while supporting him and might be dictating his moves. If Obama, hillary Bush or someone else speaks and directs to curb immigration, speak on Islamic radicalisation or threaten to leave one China policy, their will be complete rejection of ties from China, Iran, Saudi Arabia etc. In Trump they have a face to use as excuse that it's someone else. Just a conspiracy theory from me.
Yes, thanks...that video!
1) Could you imagine Trump saying "I have many friends from Africa....great people....great students...they can't work here....how stupid is that? Top of your class in Harvard and you get thrown out of the country!"
I can't.
2) Yes.
Trump is an establishment insider and at the age of 34 in 1980 was interviewed and in a very calm matter of fact way speaking about being president in the same way we might speak about going to the supermarket.
Obama was a face the establishment put in, liberal, photogenic etc. However he did nothing for blacks, expelled more Latinos than any other president in history, put restrictions on Muslim migration and refugees e.g. CARRP laws, but the ignorant leftist fanboys don't complain.
To a degree I think Trump is doing things that the US elite or at least a certain faction of it wants to be done and then it can all be blamed on one "crazy maverick", rather than the US as a country.
The US has been promoting liberalism, multi-racialism, etc for decades and can't reverse this dramatically just like that now.....one way it can be done is for a "freak" to gain power and do "crazy" things.
3) However despite saying that I do think there is some sort of power struggle between elites in the US and that Trump represents one faction who are for the time being slightly more powerful.
I suspect Trump will leave office in about 3 years time before his tenure expires. He'll be replaced by Pence.
The question for me is how much of the conservative agenda in the US which people like Ben Carson, Betsy Devos will Pence implement?
How much of Bannon and Trumps ideas will Pence implement?
The conventional opinion is that Pence is as mainstream an establishment Republican as one can find and is a figure of the deep state and the Republican elite and of the MIC (military industrial complex).
