What % of that border is fenced? China lays claim to territory that it does not control, hence no fencing. Both sides have a conflicting perception of where the border lies, but don't have the might to fence it so both keep patrolling over overlapping territorial claims. To be honest I don't care who rules China, PRC or ROC, as long as they can make China stable and develop, I m good with either.

China is a divided country, it can only be reunited when mainland China gains more strength, ROC (Taiwan) is very unlikely to take over mainland China (PRC) based on the current situation. But both sides are not in a hurry.

Not anymore. The vast majority of Taiwanese do not anymore consider themselves as mainland Chinese or still want to contest the legitimate government of mainland Chins. KMT is already a dying party in Taiwan. Taiwanese already consider themselves a different country that communist China even(Taiwan) if they maintain the word "China" in their official name.

North Korea and South Korea are indeed two UN recognized states, but it's still ok to say that Korea is a divided country like China now. Many African and middle eastern countries were created by UK and the west, their borders were drawn by their colonial masters, those countries don't count much cause they are not naturally formed nations.
