only after a regime change
the clerics cannot use nationalism as a source for legitimacy only secular nationalist government can

every regime including a democratic one needs something to keep the masses with it.

a nationalist gov in Iran can make the world a safer place for all sane people Muslim and kafir alike
But right now, you are playing into the hands of the clergy by the current policy.. They would love its people to become anti US anti Israel.. You guys are helping them achieve that.

Iran's clergy is perhaps the MOST stupid in this world

Their hatred for USA has made them blind

What is really FUNNY is that Iran hates the " Nudity loving Americans " but SOMEHOW they
WERE very FRIENDLY with the EUROPEANS till this Nuke thing blew up in Iran's FACE

Europeans are as " Immoral " as Americans when it comes to the social values

Both love nudity

There cannot be a nationalist government even after this clergy is thrown out

West will ENSURE that they get a PUPPET like Iraqi PM Nouri Al Maliki
or a Hamid Karzai

That is a totally false premise

Iran is on borrowed time Sunni Saudi is Pumping so much oil so as to make Iran collapse

AND Saudis are happy with 80 dollar a barrel Oil price in order to make Iran Collapse

Af pak will be solved by the 3 LAKH Afghan Army which is getting better
and stronger

USA will maintain 20 / 30 thousand troops; drones and bombers in Afghanistan

And the Paki economy is in so bad shape that they can be sanctioned into submission

How ironic... Americans are supporting the same kinds of terrorists in Syria that bombed the World Trade Centre. Just ask your favourite presidential hopeful John McCain :).

So much for all those trillions of American tax dollars being wasted and hundreds of thousands of lives lost for their so-called "War on Terror."
Let us not put all the blame on USA, the silent partner in crime Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in hardly mentioned ever in media reports or on this forum. Let us get the record straight and name the parties behind close doors who have vested interest in changing the guards in Damascus.

I have been saying this ever since the Arab Spring started and in the end we are most likely going to see GCC going into war against Iran-Syria-Part of Lebanon groups.

May be you missed my posts. I have been saying all along, it's the bloody Saudi clan which is laughing all the way.

If the US is at it, then there seems to be a method in the madness.

The US supports the Sunnis. Bahrain is one good example.

Actually it is the dirty Bedouins of Saudi Arabia and their Pretenders to the House of Saud who are behind the issue.

The Saudi scumbags want the area in flames so that the local people who are restless are kept worried about the instability that would ruin their set lives!

Dirty stinking Bedous.

I don't believe that Syria is going to use chemical weapons. Won't believe it till they do.

Why?

Saw it when it was bandied that Saddam was sitting on a pile of WMD.

After the scam of Colin Powell and the pictures he showed in the UN, and one felt then that Saddam was a scoundrel (he may have been on other reasons), and then when it turned out to be a damp squib, I don't believe anything that is said to alarm.

Seeing is believing.

Saddam was a Sunni. He hated the Shias - remember the Marsh Arabs?

It was a genocide type of an affair.

One wonders if he would send stuff to a Shia regime!

Syria, as was Lebanon (Hariri was related by blood with some Saudi King's concubine), is but a Saudi plot. It in no way is suggestive that Assad is Mother Teresa either!

From a geostrategic standpoint, it is essential to have the Arabs divide by their natural and historical animosity - Sunni vs Shia.

The Arabs have a tendency to gang up - ask Israel!
