Lol, its nothing new, both CY-1&2 orbiters carried both the SAR & Optical payloads
No it's different.

" There are two kinds of sensors currently available. Optical sensors, as the name suggests, capture data in colours that we are familiar with—red, blue, green and their various combinations. Radar sensors, on the other hand, capture data in microwave frequencies. “We are trying to club these two into one and derive a third type. That is our intellectual property "

Agnikul thinking of launching their vehicle by the end of the year. Sounds optimistic! But wonderful, if they carry it out.

. (R&D) centre and manufacturing factory for space taxis (orbital transfer vehicles or OTVs) and propulsion systems for rockets and satellites are expected to begin the first phase operations on a five-acre facility at the aerospace park near Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) by late 2023.

The new facility, which once fully operational is expected to be worth $76 million (around Rs 630 crore), will be established by space tech firm Bellatrix Aerospace, a Bengaluru-headquartered company specialising in in-orbit propulsion systems and OTVs/space taxis.

“Having a wide range of thrusters designed to overcome challenges associated with incumbent technologies by providing better performance, longer life and reduced costs and better lead times, we now aim to gear up for large scale production with advanced manufacturing and research facilities,” Yashas Karanam, co-founder, Bellatrix, told TOI.

The firm, which signed an MoU with the government of Karnataka on Wednesday, said it plans to set up its 2.1-lakh-sq ft space factory to meet its global demand with a capacity to manufacture several thousand propulsion systems every year, in addition to the state-of-the-art facility to manufacture its OTVs.

The facility is set to generate high-tech jobs in Bengaluru both for R&D (scientists) and production. “Overall, over the next three-four years, we are looking at around 350-400 jobs at this facility. We should be able to begin operations as part of our first phase implementation of the project in the second half of 2023,” Karanam said.

The firm may eventually look at increasing the investment to touch $100-million, but Karanam said “it is too early to comment”.

At the new facility, aside from the space taxi, the firm will manufacture four of its thrusters: The Hall thruster, microwave plasma thruster, nano thrusters and green propulsion systems.

Bellatrix, which last year tested India’s first privately built Hall Thruster — a highly efficient electric propulsion system for satellites — has since signed an agreement with L&T to enhance capacity. It was also the first to develop the world’s first commercial Microwave Plasma Thruster, which uses water as fuel, and for which the company had bagged an order from Isro.

A Hall Thruster, initially developed in Russia, is a device that employs electric and magnetic fields to ionise propellant gases such as Xenon to produce thrust. Today, it is the most reliable and time-tested electric propulsion system in the global market.

And as per Bellatrix, this thruster also forms a critical technology for its Space taxi or OTV. The firm has collaborations with other space companies — SatSure, Skyroot Aerospace and Dhruva Space — on its ambitious orbital transfer vehicle (OTV) mission.

On the contrary i have faith because it's a private firm. Being a private firm owner when I commit i work hard to fulfill that commitment which involves adhiring to deadline. And besides pvt entity has less socialism at work

Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), the lead Centre of ISRO for the development of launch vehicles, facilitated the hot testing of a rocket engine developed by an Indian space start-up. VSSC successfully conducted the 15 s hot test of Agnilet Engine for M/s Agnikul Cosmos Pvt. Ltd. on November 4, 2022 at its Vertical Test Facility, Thumba Equatorial Rocket Launching Station (TERLS), Thiruvananthapuram. The test was carried out as part of MOU signed between ISRO and M/s Agnikul Cosmos Pvt. Ltd. to provide opportunity for Indian space start-ups to use facilities of ISRO through IN-SPACe.

Agnilet Engine hot test

Agnilet Engine is a regeneratively cooled 1.4 kN semi-cryogenic engine, working at a chamber pressure of 10.8 bar(a) using Liquid oxygen and Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) as propellants. This engine is realised through state-of-the-art 3D printing technology and material of construction is INCONEL-718.

NOTAM for "VK-S Sounding Rocket" launch from SDSC-SHAR. Enforcement duration 0530-0730 (UTC), 12 to 16 November 2022.
I usually don't submit NOTAMs related to sounding rocket launches but the "VK-S" name caught attention. Anyone knows what this thing is? Launch is from Sounding Rocket Complex and the second hazard zone appears too wide..
