Take a look at this video, apparently there is a concept called "Cover cropping". any thoughts on this?
This is very famous and practice by any Indian farmer covering the soil with mulch. This is essential part of permaculture plantation and miyawaki forestation. In natural farming, this practice is followed. They don't use Tractors and cultivator to cultivate the soil. In an another philosophy, they don't take anything except food grains and fruits out of the farm. All other agricultural waste is allowed to be remain in soil itself and soil is covered with agricultural waste.
