Pt 5353 is not the only place from which the Pakistani's can observe the National Highway. There are other places too.

These are with Pakistan.

Ways and means have been devised in most places wherein the effect of the Pakistanis is reduced.

Therefore, it is no big deal!

Ray sir,
the point is not that pakistan can observe NH-1A from said points or not.the point here is that india has lost its land which it after 10 years still unable to recover. Thus loss of indian land can truly be equated to loss of war by india coz indian forces were unable to achieve their strategic objectives of the war that was,"to recover all lost heights".Thats another thing that indians on different fora can pat their back about kargil war but the real truth and bottom line is india has lost kargil war.......

In denial till now, Pak quietly names 453 soldiers killed in Kargil War

ISLAMABAD: Eleven years after the Kargil War, the Pakistan Army, which has been denying its role in the conflict, has quietly included the names of 453 soldiers and officers in the battle on its website.

Proof of the involvement of regular Pakistani soldiers in the 1999 Kargil War over a string of strategic heights in the Kargil sector of the Line of Control in 1999 has come from an institution that spent years denying its role in the hostilities with India - the Pakistan Army.

The 453 Pakistani soldiers were shown killed in Batalik-Kargil sector in Jammu & Kashmir.

The names of those who died in Kargil are tucked away in a list of thousands of personnel killed while on duty that has been posted in the "Shuhada's Corner" (Martyrs Corner) of the website.

The very first page of the long list of martyrs includes the names of Capt Karnal Sher and Havildar Lalak Jan, who were both killed on July 7, 1999 in Kargil and awarded Pakistan's highest military award, the Nishan-e-Haider.

Several others were posthumously given other gallantry awards like the Tamgha-e-Jurat (Medal of Courage).

The army also reveals the codename given to the operation to occupy strategic mountains and heights on the Indian side of the LoC - "Operation Koh-e-Paima" or Mountain of Resolve. In some cases, the campaign is also referred to as "Operation Kargil".

A majority of those who died in Kargil were soldiers from the Northern Light Infantry, a formation that was made a regular regiment of the Pakistan Army because of its performance in the 1999 conflict.

It was earlier a paramilitary force formed by the amalgamation of several militias from the Northern Areas or Gilgit-Baltistan.

Several causes are cited for those who died in Kargil - "killed in action", "enemy action", "enemy firing", "enemy artillery shelling" and even "road accident". The list gives the name, rank, unit, and location and nature of death of each casualty.

During the Kargil conflict and in subsequent years, the Pakistan Army insisted that none of its regular soldiers were involved in the hostilities.

Indian artillery inflicted maximum damage to Pak during Kargil

New Delhi, Nov 19 (PTI) The Indian artillery, assisted by the Bofors gun and multi-barrel rocket launchers among others, caused the maximum damage to the Pakistani Army during the Kargil war, a fact now admitted by neighbour.

As per the official list of Pakistani soldiers who have been killed during the war period, put up on its website by the Pakistani Army, about 190 of the over 400 dead were killed because of shelling by the Indian Army.

The reasons for the maximum number of deaths given by the Pakistani army was "En Arty shelling" or "En shelling".
''En'' stands for Enemy, an obvious reference to Indian troops.
The Indian soldiers also killed another about 160 of regular Pakistani army men in exchange of fire with their hand-held assault weapons or as Pakistan puts it, "En Action".
Besides the exchange of fire, the Indian Army men also killed about 90 Pakistan Army personnel by shooting them down.
The reason given to such deaths was "En fire".

Even the Indian Air force, which bombarded certain territories captured by a mixture of Pakistan troops and militants, killed regular armymen.

It was not just the Indian army that Pakistan had to fight but also rolling stones and avalanches. About 30 enemy troops died in this category.

Interestingly, one of them was killed in lightning.
Among other reasons for deaths given were also helicopter crashes.

Begs the question then, how did "mujahideen" get these German weapons. The audacity of Pak Army denial is stunning!!

^^^^^ The causalities ranged in thousands, however, a failed state like pakistan which is a radical terrorist state lives in denial....More so they have never admitted to the atrocities perpetrated on Bengalis till date (we all know how shameless pakistan awam is, this (Denial) helps then get more Bhik aka Zakkat from their Arab masters, as they are considered mercenaries and a tool world over). Their mass religious delusion/dementia is a matter/topic of in-depth research.

India will eventually take back PoK, we just need to wait for the right moment, i.e. when Pakistan collapses.
