A recent report by the French news agency AFP gave an explicit account of the way the dead and wounded are being brought to Srinagar from the battle front, before being sent to Delhi.

According to the report, the Indian Airline's flight from Srinagar to Delhi those days has turned into an air ambulance service. Almost every day, it carries to the Indian capital dead bodies and injured soldiers from the battle front in Kargil in greater numbers than normal passengers. The passenger seats in the air¬craft are often removed to accommodate stretchers carrying the wounded, and a special section of the Delhi airport has been designated to accommodate the coffins arriving from the battle zone.

Indians ultimately complained to the International community and finally on pressure by the USA, Pakistani Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif, ordered the withdrawal of troops.

Near Tiger Hill, Point 5353 still Pak-occupied :pound:

Standing tall and dominating the famous Tiger Hill on the Line of Control (LoC) is a grim reminder of the Kargil war. Point 5353, the highest peak in the region which has a clear view of the National Highway 1 D, remains occupied by Pakistan even a decade after the battle.

While the point is clearly on the Indian side of the LoC, it remains in Pakistani control which has fortified it with reinforced bunkers and has even built a special road nearby to carry up supplies for soldiers.

The Indian Army, which made several unsuccessful attempts to occupy the post after the Kargil war, has since given up the post as "untenable" given the geography of the region that makes it fairly easy for Pakistani troops to climb.

I agree with this post except for the last part. It was a war so casualties did occur and for enemy holding the high ground, it is difficult for the attacker.

As per the Intl community, it was Pakistan which asked for a cease-fire as that was the plan entirely to occupy high ground and get a cease-fire signed and PA will continue to occupy Kargil. But we all know how that plan went. If Pakistan did have the advantage they would have consolidated it by sending in more troops and use PAF which was clearly not the case. Also, dont just post news without source. Can you post the source for this above news?

There were multiple battles fought where IA took back all the territory lost initially. PA lost militarily and politically that is why they didn't even accept bodies of PA soldiers. IF you were told otherwise I am afraid you were brainwashed.

http://carnegieendowment.org/2012/09/20/airpower-at-18-000-indian-air-force-in-kargil-war-event-3777

Read this, neutral source. All your smiles etc are not gonna change the reality. Yeah, point 5353 is in POK. But get this PA's objective was Kargil but in the end was left with 1 peak. So how does it translate to winning the war? It's more like won 1 battle but lost the war. Lost so many soldiers and international image and economy for 1 peak. Have you seen the state in what Pakistan is in right now? Kargil war played an important part in that.

You are trolling, this thread is only about the PA and the pigs getting smoked which started from 2016 after the surgical strikes. You can search the Kargil war thread all this has been discussed before.

'Not convinced India won Kargil war' Lt Gen (retd) Kishen Pal, who headed the Srinagar-based 15 Corps during the 1999 conflict

What kinda moron are you? It's clear you can't understand the English language seeing that you are madrassa educated. What he meant was:

The Indian Army failed to capitalize and exploit the local victories on the heights of Kargil. The India Army should have advanced across the LoC and captured areas well inside POK which were extremely vulnerable as the Paki army was on the run and disorganized especially after Mantho Dhalo, (the main logistics base for supplying ammo, spares, water, rations etc to the Porki troops), was destroyed by the IAF Mirages. It would have been a total victory for India had the IA captured areas well inside POK. Thus according to him, it wasn't a total victory..

So yes we failed TO CAPITALIZE ON OUR VICTORY because the IA was ordered by the political establishment not to cross the LoC under any circumstances.

Now do you turds get what he meant? I'm pretty sick and tired of hearing the same old story like a frikkin broken record from you fellows, twisting the words of Kishen Pal to suit your nonsensical propaganda.

Dekh bhai @PSYOP ...

No matter how much you try to derail this thread, the fact is that there is a requirement for atleast 2160 hooris in the last three weeks alone.

Better focus on that....

Why pakis are so obsess with peak 5333 ???? if it's help them sleep at night thinking of it as revenge of bangladesh..then it's good ....how much sq. km it hold ????fact is it's useless peak , if IA ever saw "na"paki army to deploy offensive weapon their , our nearby higher peak can grounded the whole peak itself...We still hold siachen..may be paki better rename that peak as siachen peak and announce that they capture siachen in 1999 ..i bet 80% of population still believe them...

Whenever you have height advantage it's near impossible to dislodge such force.. Example can be seen in case of Siachin where India who is on top cannot be dislodged even by multiple attempts by Pakis.. Now they know the evident truth

Pakis tried the same strategy in kargil to occupy the heights but they are so piss poor in combat abilities that they relequinshed the heights in weeks
Such is a pak army... Indians changed the name of Quaid post--named after Quaid e Adam (in siachin) to bana top and Pakis couldn't do nothing

In kargil they didn't even accepted their deads... The nishan e haider awardee by Pakistan lalak jaan was recommended by India.. We are such a dignified country.

So no need to indulge with the loser like @PSYOP who has to defend such a chootiya army that is only good in killing innocents and that too by aerial assault.....

@PSYOP

I am not showing you stuff which happened in last few months due to security reasons @hammer head otherwise you would've shove your head in the behind of that Black dog ISPR DG Asif Gafoor.

But suffice to say that your claim of killing Indian troops in recent IED ambush is as true as this Muhajir Negro pitch black Paki claiming to be a central Asian Barlas Turk having noble blood of Mirzas

Paki troll or not, I think we should refrain from insulting people based on skin color, as it also applies to dark skinned people of our own country. As a south Indian with darker complexion, I don't know what to make of these comments.

Paki troll or not, I think we should refrain from using racial slurs regarding skin color, as it easily applies to dark skinned people of our own country. As a South Indian with darker complexion, I don't know what to make of it when DFI members use words such as "black Negro dog" to describe someone with darker skin.

Actually we have successfully retaliated to loss of point 5353 by capturing point 5310, located 1 Km inside Pakistan.

No it does not apply to any dark skinned Indian or any other non Pakistani. Anyway he is simply playing on Pakis insecurities & false ego.
Anyway I propose DFIians to replace word Pakistan with Paikhanaistan in their usage. The latter represents them better. Anyway its OT

Now since we have bunker piercing munitions, can we destroy their bunker and get this peak 5353 back? The reason is Pakistan has clear sight to our national highway. They may not be attacking from that past, but may be getting real time intelligence of our army movement.
