Check to see if the towns in blue and red exist on a map drawn before 1800s.

The following map for example was drawn during the 1574-1648 period -> Antique Map
Bitch nigga each and every name in the map is derived from Pali Texts and scriptures which is dated between 400 to 800 AD.

What even is your argument here?

Dude, place names not mentioned in old maps does not mean they did not exist. Read the description of the map in the link you posted. It only outlines maritime coasts of importance. None of them in the above Indian map are coastal towns.

The map I used was only one example. See if you can come up with alternative maps prior to 1800 with those place names in red.

If your claim is that those places did not exist because no maps exist, then you are a fool. Look at the buddhist ruins in Nagarjunakonda. Now don't claim those were built by Brits.

So that was a practical exercise that illustrate the issue. Not only maps but books written prior to 1800 confirms where the Buddha lived.

Marco Polo writes under the heading “Origin of the Buddhist Religion in Seilan” how Gotama Buddha was born and lived on the island of Sri Lanka.

The editorial comment on p.289 mentions the following. “This is the well-known island of Ceylon, both direction and distance are extremely correct”.

This is the school of Nagarjuna. He lived many centuries after the Gothama Buddha. This school is most probably authentic.

Although Taxila from Buddha's time is most certainly not authentic.

This is the school where nobles and princes from the Buddha's time went to learn different skills. They enter school at age 16.

"Likewise, Jivaka, the famous physician of Bimbisara who cured the Buddha, learnt the science of medicine under a far-famed teacher at Taxila and on his return was appointed court-physician at Magadha."

How can you tell it's fake?

The city is in Pakistan. The area where the students live was in the North-Eastern regions of India. The distance for students to visit their school is 1658 km. Click -> here.

So you know it's a fake.

So? Every one knows how far Taxila was from Magadha? People used to go to Taxila, spend years studying there and then return.

Whats the big deal?

The lumbini inscription of Ashoka mentions Ashoka's visit to the birth place of Buddha, thats lumbini. It also mentions how Ashoka made lumbini tax free.
So here is the strange thing about Lumbini.

The person who discovered Lumbini was caught plagiarising. He even confessed it was all a scam. He was caught and subsequently fired from his job.

Although the history he concocted hasn't changed. Read here -> https://jambudipa.quora.com/

Marco polo visited Sri lanka and India between 1254 and 1324. Buddhism was gone from India then. He must have seen it in Sri Lanka and thought it was their religion. He did not see it in India. So he took the origin as Sri Lanka. Simple dumbo. You are going to take a text written in 1200-1300 as authority over older ones.

Please read my response about Buddhism in the Buddhism thread and see if it applies to you. Buddhists worshipping or idolizing Buddha is an oxymoron.

You idiot even your snap says the origin of boodhist religion in seilan. It does not say origin of booodhist religion in world. And coomer cannot even pronounce Buddha's name and you what a literal cuck you have to be that you are labelling it some authority. Show me one just one Shloka of Buddha where he says he was born in Sri lanka. If you cannot then get out of this thread.
