Ya'll Nibbiars then don't even talk about what happens to the Statelllite when the Mlecchas again comes inside our territories. We don't even have enough to make observation. Leave the long term survillence. And out Space Military Infrastructure is extremely poor. And with this notion why even have the Cost guard way not let the Navy do the cost guard duties and save the budget. And like you need a dedicated Land, Naval, Costal and Air wing and now you would also need a dedicated Space Wing.

Ya'll Nibbiars currently we only have seven dedicated Military satellites and 10 civil satellite available for the military use but is limited due to the civilian overload even during emergency. That's why we need to spend more on the Space Infrastructure and for that only a dedicated Wing can make the Case.

Ya'll Nibbiars again US, Russia and China has full fledged Space Force and Japan, France, ROK, Germany, Canada and others are planning a similar plan. We need to up the play to gain the early foot in the New Domain of the Warfare.

Give airforce some additional responsibility aerospace type force (spacewarfare and cyber warfare) that should help quell their frustration.
But given India is largely a continental power in the order of thing army will always be number 1. All invasion come through land in the case of India. Except the east India company.....

Ya'll Nibbiars make the Air Force and possible Space Force under the Department of Aerospace warfare. This will give leverage both to the Air force and Space Firce which doesn't exist now. Like how you neede a seprate Navy and coast gaurd.

Ya'll Nibbiars Revelant to the Air Force. An independent force will guarantee a effectiveness distribution of resources to the space power.

Ya'll Nibbiars there is currently the Defence Space Agency and other similar organizations but what now needed is a full fledged space force yes it will cost more and will increase the already stressed burden on the small defence budget but either create a new agency to better handle the space asset or lose. The Chinese already has a Cyber and Space Command and the Russian are giving more priority to the Space Command. We need a full fledged space force of equal if not greater budget than the ISRO.

The USSF and NRO has a combined 130 plus satellites and plus other launch programmes in development. Can't really one the DSA and ISRO. Need a full Fledge Service.

It's Defense Space Agency that will undertake such kind of operations. Till date, only US Space Force has been an independent space military division.

I am planning to write a comprehensive essay on space force, space warfare, space weapons etc.
What are the topics I should cover, here is my list.

1. Why we need a strategic support force (SSF) (space + cyber force)

2. How will this SSF be modelled, what would be it's command structure, what rankings would there be etc.

3. What strategy the said SSF should follow (should it be offensive or defensive)

4. What duties would be given to SSF (space surveillance, protecting space assets, destroying enemy space asset, provide navigation, feeding important information to other other forces etc)

5. How would the recruitment take place (would it be similar to agniveer and will SSF go to candidates instead of candidates coming to them)

6. What assests would the said SSF have (like Radars, super computers, Launch Vehicles, Cyber weapons, ASATs etc)

7. Given space and cyber warfare are a constantly evolving field would SSF have an independent R&D department of rely on DRDO & ISRO

8. What should be it's budget

Any other topic I should add,I have currently download over 90 research papers from various research institutes and policy documents from USSF and PLASSF to study this topic, WISH ME LUCK
