having another free pylon for something ? besides we're aiming to increase payloads on both jets so maybe such thing could help a bit ?
The pylon using Targetting Pods can’t be used for weapons afaik.
This is TALIOS pod on Rafale, Targetting Pods occupy a pylon specific for the task not for weapons, you won’t find a symmetrical pylon on the other intake As only one is needed for Targetting Pod.

Naval AMCA was in Navy's mind, since 2015-16. ADA even completed a feasibility study for them. However few things came up:

1. Navy wanted Naval AMCA to be designed and developed first, based on that Airforce version to be developed.

2. However, little interest was shown to Navy's proposal from IAF or ADA.

3. Thus the situation was made clear to the Navy that airforce version of AMCA will be developed first, based on which Naval version was to be developed.

4. Navy studied this proposal and concluded that timeline of NAMCA was to be 2035-40 at the earliest. The developement can only begin once airforce version has flown by 2025. Aany delay in Airforce version will cause likely delay in the start of NAMCA programme.
Also, this NAMCA will have operational compromises as a naval fighter, like Naval Tejas.

5. Navy further studied its own operational requirement about payload carrying capacity, and the fact that carriers can be spotted from satellite.

6. Thus in 2019-2020 Navy decided to go for a clean sheet 4.5 gen TEDBF to be inducted by 2031.
Exactly that's why tedbf is the design that will evolve as naval stealth jet if required in future.
Amca won't be navalized.

Tedbf will evolve much like kfx program of South Korea 4.5 generation with dsi / recessed weapons in mk1 and 2 and later version might incorporate internal weapons bay and 110kn amca engine to evolve into bigger stealth jet.

AMCA model at AI'21
Won't this kind of IRST be hampering AMCA's stealth?? Or there might be some stealth shaped IRST pod in development...?

That's not IRST, it has a retractable IRST on the nose (...or had. I don't know if the present one will get EOTS). It's a pod. Could be escort jammer or targetting pod (if it don't get EOTS).

Thanks for the clarification
But even if it does get irst like the one above , it won't be as stealthy as an eots similar to the f-35 but then again stealth isn't something which can be determined by speculations...so ig I'll have my hopes on ADA to do what's best for the aircraft

even tejas mk2 will get something like eots das( dcmaws made for su 30mki will be upgraded and deployed on tejas mk2 and most probably amca, dc maws had only mwir when developed in 2005,now according to interview given by dr rao to delhi defence interview proves drdo is going for a "a derivative of dcmaws" (meaning lwir will be added) making it similar to eots.so amca will definitely have it

yeah well from this angle u cant really deny all the similarities with rafale...would look like a copy to layman...good work btw
The layout is definitely Rafale inspired, no doubt... But other than that canard-intakes area, not much really is similar about the fuselage shaping.

And given the fact that they explicitly mentioned the requirement of squeezing out every last kilonewton of thrust possible from those engines, I suspect the intakes may be enlarged in size to ensure maximum airflow.

I actually was contemplating suggesting an alternative like this to @Kuntal for the other version without a spine.

idk if trapezoidal designs is being dropped or developed with this one as a prototype and later one of them will be chosen ,but if trapezoidal one is chosen rcs will be lower than canard version + a stealthy weapon pod can make this BEAST something between (rafale and f35) means rcs like f117 nighthawk with sensors derived fromamca it wud be force to recon with
