Yep the mid fuselage has been made narrower compared to the point where the wings join the fuselage which has been bulked up thus giving the appearance of a CFT from front .

Either way, the internal voluke bulged up portion can be used in various ways.

Who knows, with twin F414 our TED's best friend may supercruise at Mach 1.2 with 4 aam .
It might supercruise... And it's fuel capacity too should be quite high compared to AMCA fuselage, due to lack of the internal bay. Looks quote a bit longer than Rafale & with twin-F414 will have significantly greater thrust (15kN dry & 40kN wet).

@Bleh It means there are two design teams competing with each other, with their designs.

Sir what about 13 hardpoint stuff i can ony count 11 ober there either some of front fuselage not depicted or what
Maybe that got ditched for technical reasons, maybe it'll be there in final version... or in the one in trapezoidal wings.

That was only a concept art, that too of ORCA.

Is there any information about the kind of multi-axis machines being used // will be used in production of AMCA ? like i was informed by a very well resourced friend that LM,Boeing and others who're in serious stealth business are using 9-axis cutters to shape those hexagonal panels used on F-22,F-35 etc.

IAF should work with HAL-ADA convert this into Airforce version for stop gap 4-5 squadrons.... This beauty along with Rafale will be awesome nightmare twins for neighbors and we can export to other countries as well. Also can this be used to take off in short run way land based airfields like Leh?
Air Force has its eyes fixed on Tejas MK 2 and AMCA, which is going to be ready by around the same time TEDBF joins the Navy. Also its easier to develop the Air Force version than the Naval version, so IAF can even fund the project at a later stage should the need arise.
