point to be noted is that the Taliban spokesman who is issuing these statements from qatar is known to be a charmer. he is known to give statements that are pleasing to western diplomats & audience.

India is irrelevant here, going against India, India can't do anything that's why now we see India negotiating with the Talibans, UN eco embargo isn't happening... bloddy Chinese alone will make sure to buy the most of the resources along with the rest of the needed...

and my take is that situation will be same as before on the ground, with better PR management presenting a rosy picture to outside world.


one of things that has been refined to the point of perfection at a global level in past 20 years, is PR management which when activated can present a picture to rest of the world completely at odds with ground realities.

We have been victims of such PR management by commies, we should know better. Don’t forget the hollywood level videos ISIS put out during their campaign in Iraq and Syria. with qatar on their side, for taliban PR becomes even more easier just like old days .

What matters is that Talibans now want to talk with India and west. They want to be power as genuine rulers and not militia controling the land.

Practically speaking, only two countries that can influence Taliban are Russia (100% independent), Pakistan to a certain extent but they are less capable now than when they started Taliban with Sam uncle and China to a lesser extent but they have no experience with this shit and will get hurt seriously bad....Iran seems to be not interested but with better capabilities overall than Pakis and India would also but we have no direct access unlike all other players and this will be the hindrance for us

My view is that Iran will be the biggest influencer in Afghanistan for two reasons:

*Iran's geographical contiguity with Afghanistan and
*Iran's cultural & linguistic influence over Afghanistan for many centuries.

By coming closer to the Pakistan the Taliban fears for one thing that Pakistan in future will try to blackmail them for making the Durand Line permanent and threatening to close down the border trading posts.

Afghan Taliban under the influence of US occupation might have become business savvy and nationalistic, who knows.

They will try to rule like a legitimate government and thus can acquire multiple funds and aids from all over the world to run the country in the process.

Talibans have given very positive signals so far. Their spokesman has said that they don't consider India as an enemy. They want Indian support and investment in Afghanistan. In theit new avatar, taliban tries to project themselves as a Genuine ruler of the Afghanistan rather than the militia controlling the Afghan areas. We should adopt a policy in which consider whosoever in Afghanistan as the rulling party as the friend of India rather than taking sides. China will try to enter into Afghanistan by money power and by bringing the t Afghan politicians. We will have to counter them with diplomacy, intelligence and friendship we have built in Afghanistan over the years. That will be the Trump card of the India. We should make sure that China and Pakistan does not exploit the situation. We can easily outs Pakistan from the Afghanistan nearly with diplomacy and supporting development project in the Afghanistan but China will be hard to counter. To deal with China, in Afghanistan we will have to take the the same way which we took to counter China in Balochistan and to some extent in Sri Lanka which cannot be discussed in open.

I believe It’s all part of there campaign to fool others. Taliban makes more than enough money selling drugs in the black market. Taliban hardly care about civilians most of the time It hardly matters for terrorist group like Taliban if civilians live or die unless it has some propaganda value to them.

No one including Iran has deep interests but I think it should be split and absorbed into other countries based on ethnicities and this is where India will gain if we have courage to get the POK and get access into it.....Russia might just balkanize it depending on things
