Why not? China colonized Bhikaristan and Sri Lanka primarily through economic debt trap. It will definitely work in Afghanistan too. Bloodthirsty goat shaggers can kill people, but actually running a country is beyond them. They will place their trust in China, no question there.
Will it be a 100% success or will result in a collapse similar to Soviet AFG?

Too early to say. Though considering the behavior and disposition of the Talibans, I would say the latter situation is more likely.

posted here because no one was answering there.
1) Our Investment waste of money
2) Cricket team will be disbanded
3) Government will take refugee in US
4) CPEC will not be doomed, China will extract every penny from Pakistan where it has invested. Chabar Port will be taken over by China, The possibility of that happening has got the odds increasing.

The blunders which Nehru made not to retake POK is costing us dearly and has changed the world completely. If we had the POK The world would have been at our door step we could have ensured supplies into Afghanistan without much hindrance.

These pictures are highlighted again and again used promote a particular agenda. This photo is some times used by leftist, How a society can be ruined by hardliners? This photo was used by leftists once Bajrang dal ransacked a pub in Karnataka. Leftists highlighted it as an act of Hindu Taliban, but leftists never condemned real Taliban, Leftists very well know if they condemn real Taliban, momin would not tolerate

Afghanistan was always backward and conservatives would never agree with certain things. Most of the Afghanistan is in Rural states. Let us give the credit to Jihadists. People should remember one thing which I am reminding again and again back during 2010 Protests erupted in Afghanistan and American bases were ransacked over a cartoon. When US based Pastors in a church criticized Muslims and their way of life.

Afghans quickly forgot how US Gave them freedom from taliban rule. Momin across borders will unite in no time
regarding the last sentence, given how quickly taliban are capturing provinces. Can this happen without public cooperation?

we may need to have a relook at evidences presented to us over past two decades by western narratives, about afghan population hating Taliban. Ground reality might be contrary to what we have been told. It is quite possible that we have been misled.

Few dead bodies here and there in kandahar after taliban take over . Looks like civilians .

India decided not to recognize taliban govt
Probably women who didn't wear a veil or civilians who were in a militia to fight the Taliban. Instilling fear is how their whole system works.

I think we've made the right choice by not recognizing them.

Yes your prediction is correct, Taliban has got popular support in Afghanistan. We need to agree to this. Some where else in your earlier Posts you claimed " Pakistan will claim itself as a victim of War on terror".

This tactic had been once used by Pakistan Diplomats and officials to get more aid from USA. But back in 2014 After Joseph Dunford assumed as Chairman of Joint Chief of Staff. Joseph Dunford a rejected all military aid requests and sternly told Pakistan to pay for its weapons and he told no more aid. We have paid for whatever services you have offered in terms of transit fees. Pakistan understood very well that US is not going to settle permanently in Afghanistan by deploying thousands of troops whom they could use as hostages. Shift in Pro Chinese policy by General Raheel Shariff is due to the above factor.

My fears about Afghanistan is a IC 814 Hijack attempt close to 2024 elections to Portray BJP Government as weak. My fears are about this kind of situation

Let us be realistic Operation Entebbe is a once in a Black Swan Moment.

US during Obama Administration was prepared for this kind of situation, Home Land Security measures will be strengthened, We also need to spend more on internal security and modernize our Police forces, this will have dual benefits, Once CRPF is adequately armed and equipped we can relieve Army Units for Counter Terror Counter Insurgency Operations and re equip them for conventional operations. By doing this more effectively we can fix Pakistan on our borders with kashmir.
IC 814 or Operation Entebbe seems a little far-fetched, but then again, now that this region has been destabilized, anything can happen in the following years.

My guess is that the jihadi insurgents are going to collaborate with the Khalistanis to create havoc. They will supply and help each other, reviving two areas of conflict, one in Kashmir, the second in Punjab.

As well as general covert terrorist activities and suicide bombers in the rest of the country.

1) Agree
2) Cant we host them here in India (which we are already doing) instead of disbanding them? it will keep India's edge in influence over the Afghanis living overseas.
3) Why not in India?
4) I think CPEC will become more like a dog leash instead of a serious project because it goes through Indian territory and fear of an Indian takeover will always be there.

2) I dont want an Indian Tax Payer hard earned money to feed an crocodile which will never be loyal to us.
frankly speaking such kind of initiatives is waste of money and time.
3) US is more reliable than Indian secular politicians who will sell them for right price
4) To make a threat we need to be more credible, We should form additional strike corps and remove Pakistan I strike corps threat to Akhnoor and Jammu, Again my view will be disagreed by most of the people who still feel Indian army needs to be downsized. Read Ravi Rikhye book about India's ability to fight a two front war.

2) It will cost far less and return more than what we achieved by building stupid libraries and parliament buildings in Afg. Cricket boards earn money right?
4) Do you think China will bow down to India's pressure?? i mean if they were actually afraid they hadnt even started it in the first place. but i think they are showing some signs of it.

If only you knew how funds are used to feed snake both internally and eternally. Let us practice real politik give and take.
No need for more forces equip existing one with best gear that itself should work fantastic.
Let taliban start beheading and create internal discontent then you fund the leader that will rise in that chaos.
Btw any one can tell if soviet intervention was deemed as defeat, how should we treat the US intervention?

RUMINT: The Taliban are 15 kilometers from Kabul. They began to surround the city with two lines of operation: north to south, and east to west.
They are progressing with a well planned strategy which their deemed masters sitting in Qatar arent capable of. surely all plans were laid down by Chinkis and Porkis much before US withdrawl.

Our national security should be our top priority now. In the meantime, like you said, we should fund a resistance movement to counter the Taliban, though I frankly don't see it succeeding.

If you deem the Soviet Intervention as a defeat, by the same logic and criteria, you cannot describe the US intervention as anything other than a defeat.

who is saying that a resistence will ever succeed? everybody has seen what has happened to 2 of superpowers that might have ever existed in modern history. but a strong and pro-Indian Afghan lobby, just like the Jews in the early 60s, may prove to be very beneficial for India.
