Given the strategic location, we should provide air support to current Afghan govt IMO although subtly else local Randi's will start their Rona immediately. Fly few Old retired MIG 27's , bahadur's and bomb them... I don't believe they all are beyond repair

Ultimately , People have no choice..if they side with current govt, they see a bleak feature and with taliban.. atleast they know they can breath few more days ...

Need of the hour is to rein in Porki's . Along with their new Abbu, they are dreaming of rare earth metals coming their way and expansion of CPEC ...

Our first problem isn't about air strikes or ground attack. Taliban doesn't have any issues with India for now.

Dilemma is whether we want to make Taliban an enemy (they can Kashmir hell for India again, make it hell for Indian troops in Afghanistan if go powerful) or accept them as ruler. If Taliban intervenes in Kashmir, then it makes up a reason for India to jump against them in war.

For now, they will rather choose to ask aid from Indian government which India was providing to Afghanistan government earlier without bothering us. In a couple of months, Taliban will start to ask money from India like Afghan government used to.

We Have Nothing Against India and Need its Help to Reconstruct Afghanistan, Says Taliban Envoy

Afghan is gone, Iam seeing very little resistance from the Afghan military as well as the citizens.

Most of their ammos are been captured by the Talibanis on hourly basis.

Afghanistan was never a nation state, it was always meant to be a Fuedal Warlordship kind of landmass.

Where are the main rotor blades?
It's a faulty one. The rotor blades are below the helicopter, if you look closely. As soon as the Taliban took control of the city and were approaching the airport, the Afghan forces removed the parts from the helicopter anticipating defeat.

Besides removing its rotor blades, they also incapacitated the helicopter by stripping it of its combat capabilities and engine.

The Taliban can't use it in its current state. At least someone in the Afghan military has some brains.

Point is that there is no guarantee that Taliban will not turn on us in kashmir once their fighters are sitting idle which will happen sooner or later. History is they will send their man our way anyways .. more so when their abbu in Pindi wants to put whole kashmir on flames....

U forget that for those fighting in Afghanistan.. it;s a job which pays them... they will stop earning the moment, this is settled and stalemate is reached... offcourse taliban wud stop paying and pindi folks will be more than happy to pay them ...

Our Aid is fine. We cannot be in middle line and keep feeding both sides... we must pick a side..and that,s current govt for sure... we don;t sleep wit terrorists.

Choosing side is easier said than taken. That's why Indian government is watching with silence for now.

By stretching out Russia, By stretching out China.

Who seeks to gain leverage?

This is the question, no ones asking.

While I don't agree on intervention the news report is absolute bull.

The last time taliban was in power they did everything they could to make life hell for us. This time with the blessings of pak china and russia they will try to mess with us again.

They are at the end of they day an Islamist org filled with religious zealots and a victory in Afghanistan will only embolden them to move against us.

Hey Yo

1628687350757.png

These are the "red units" of the Taliban, which is supposedly another one of their special forces. These are the ones that are specifically being sent to major cities which have been under siege for a long time now. Herat is the latest place they have been deployed to, where heavy fighting has been continuing quite some time between the Taliban and the ANDSF who are being helped by former Mujahideen militias.

According to the Taliban, these units are a few days away from Herat, so expect a heavy assault soon. Their videos and everything else is fucking retarded, but they are fairly well-trained and most importantly, are willing to die unlike the Afghan soldiers, so things are going to get pretty rough in Herat in a short while.

The only way I see the Afghans standing a chance now is if USA helps them. Not sending forces back, that is out of the question. But as long as the US supports the ANA with air support, it really seems like the perfect opportunity to test out all the new drone and loitering munitions tech the U.S. has developed recently, while also destroying all of the equipment they were nice enough to hand over to the Taliban.

My money is on the Taliban. The Afghan Army is disorganized and disheartened. But even if the taliban win, I think we will have years of “civil” war between different taliban factions until we see a sort of factional government of some kind. Will be curious to see where they will position themselves in the international scenario and who will be their major backer.

Taliban are not known to hold cities, they retreat again when counter offensive starts.

I am not sure why some accounts are praising or supporting them. These guys use hit and run tactics. They are known for fundamentalism.

some handles are talking like that buffoon Qureshi like they are spokes person of these fundamentalists.

Exactly .. they did send their fighters earlier too in to Kashmir, we have a history and we don;t work with terrorists.. last time we never recognised taliban... so where is the confusion in picking sides....

Lol what?

They held the entire southern front including kabul all the while pushing into north before NATO decided to come in and change the tide.
They are not known to hold cities, they use hit and run tactics. I think Afghan president Ghani said Afghan govt. can handle the situation given the resources and support.
