So, I would say, India conquering Gilgit Baltistan now, would set off fewer alarm bells in the west, than India conquering Gilgit Baltistan in 2040, when India would be a much more formidable economic and military power.

The present Taliban regime is under greater influence of Pakistan due to the Haqqani Network’s overbearing presence within the govt.

China’s policies WRT Afghanistan will be heavily dependent on inputs supplied by Pakistan. Consequently, the Taliban’s posturing WRT Kashmir or CPEC will, in practical terms, will be a reflection of those of China & Pakistan.

The real problems for both China & Pakistan will begin when the world at large (including several OIC member-states) will reject the concept of an Islamic Emirate, since such a concept has no universally agreed-upon definition & is also at odds with the concept of ‘Sharia’ that is practised in the Arabian Peninsula & North Africa. .And to top it all, the Sunni-centric Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan will constantly be at odds with the Shia-dominated Islamic Republic of Iran & hence this gaping ideological faultline will further increase the internal turmoil inside both Afghanistan & Pakistan, which the latter will find impossible to control.

Whatever has been created(or born)... has to meet its end one day... 30-06-2022 or Sooner!

But it should make all the noise and show that it's about to charge to threaten enemy into giving concessions.

If Pakistan is made to believe that it will have to pay with Rawalpindi or Gilgit for any terror attack within India, terror will stop.

For this reason, even if we in private don't believe and admit that taking pok provides us with any benefit, we must make all the preparations to take it :both material and narrative.

Also it's bot in our interest to pursue status quo.
