I agree with the perception thing, but the thing with perception is, it can be managed. If we have someone as the prime minster who has an image that is close to the image of Manmohan Singh, we can pull it off.

Secondly, we need to prop up our economy we are a huge market with very less per capita purchasing power, we need to get to a place where sanctioning us will hit them economically.

Sanction probably, but I don't think anyone would provide arms and aid other than China. If anything US might supply India because taking POK by itself doesn't harm them. It gets back at Pak for back stabbing them in Afghanistan and fucks with China's CPEC.

Who knows? After what happened during the 1965 war, I just don't believe that the US will be there for us when we need their help.
