After their exit from Afghanistan they lost valuable position in central Asia. Backyard of both Russia and China. This exit only strengthened them.

Also America has lost lot of credibility on international stage after this fiasco. It will be hard for Americans to convince other countries specially those on the edge to ally with USA instead of China. After watching how they simply ran away from a terror outfit and abandoned their allies, abandoned their own citizens like that which country would trust them?

Fighting Taliban was too much for them. Putting pressure on Pakistan was too much for them. How can they fight mighty powers like China and Russia. If they can cut a deal with Taliban to save their @ss they can cut a deal with anyone.

2021 will be remembered as the year USA lost its superpower status.
