I don't think he said that. He said you can't win a war against them. That is the position India is in on its western flank, isn't it? However many insurgents are neutralised, more come. Unless there is an idealogical change in the opposition, they will keep coming, barring their own government preventing that happening.

Inida has faced many insurgencies , all were neutralized even without heavy handness of the raj era indian police constabularies .
India has a parallel internal police force of around 500,000 to 600,000 controlled directly by central government.
If China looks bad , india too dosent care when internal peace is threatened.
Regarding kashmir, it is getting less and less

CPEC has been a dud for Pak right from its inception, regardless of the situation in Afghanistan. Pak-taxpayer footing the bill of Chinks added production capacities of construction material and the labour involved, is exactly what this CPEC is. There is no business in Pakistan, what was it to gain by being connected to China better at such costs?

When a army invades this short of things happen . In a war many short of atrocity happens . People talk abt hitler crimes in details but forget abt war crimes of allied power .. People have this image made by popular culture , movies , media etc .. whn u come out of that u realize countries who have committed most of the crime against humanity are the one hold most of the power .. And preach morality etc to other smaller nations .

Brits were quite good at quelling armed insurgencies actually both within Britain and outside, last one being troubles in northern ireland.

during colonial era, they had no baggage of upholding "Human rights".
