I have read few Iranians many years ago. They hate Afghans. Not too sure if things have changed now.

Even during the previous Taliban regime, Northern alliance continued its rule on its traditional strong hold.

I think the resistance will play a big part in the coming days.

German troops were also involved in a firefight a few days back.

Also they had over the past few days been rushing military helicopters to kabul via transporters to get their people out who were unable to reach the airport.

Most probably BND had credible intelligence about the incoming shitstorm and the decision to evacuate with all important personnel was made.

The Taliban is not allowing Afghans to leave - which means the LES (Locally Employed Staff) from U.S. Embassy Kabul will be stranded - and in severe danger.

They stayed to help.

Secretary Blinken failed to evacuate them & other State Dept employees.

This is heartbreaking.


The US military is establishing alternative routes to Kabul airport because ISIS-K poses a possible threat to the airfield and surrounding areas

His success ratio is less than 1% and doesn't mentions Afghanistan. So, open to interpretation.

Further, as per twitter rumor from 3 4 days back, Friday was rumored day of attack but happened today.
