India should never recognise taliban even if it's the last remaining country in the world. The only other nation whose interest have been jeopardized other than Afghanistan is India. It was kept out of the group of stakeholders by the Russians and for the same reason. We must as a nation take definate stand rather than do backdoor support and hope things workout in favor of the resistance. Other wise we will be considered only a laughing stock as a country which is not to be feared or taken seriously. As it never ever acts. Afghans were our allies. ISI has given us a massive hit. Make no mistake. The chances of opening a second front with Pakistan on its western border are gone till Talibs are there. Apart from billions of dollars that have gone down in drain our strategic depth and assets have also been rendered useless. We don't need to send military. Whenever every Indian is evacuvated, Whatever assets we still have can be used to strike and take out taliban leadership with missiles. It would send strong message to China and Pak. Taliban and mujhadins will be coming to Kashmir anyway. Let's take the fight to them and try to salavage whatever of our allies are left. We can't and should not be defensive.. If India wants to recognised as a super power we should start acting like one.
India always has the option to open the front on its western border. Even Northern Alliance have the option to open a front on Uzbek side.

I can always abuse both. Both are worthy of it. And I'm guessing you don't really know the history of Blackwater, they're not as innocent as you seem to think they are.
You guess wrong, you have been on this forum for too short a while to be “guessing” what others know. Some of us “know”, but we have our priorities straight. Our interest is in India’s security not in same morality arguments on random defence contractors who are paid to do exactly the dirty job they do.. one has to wonder why someone would be more interested in criticising the US and it’s contractors while largely giving a free pass to nasty actors of interest to us

Hindu Hridiya Samrat Putri turned Begum Haidri quoting someone who described the ordeals of ANA and why they lost.

……………….

This is what I wrote when details were not available or these accounts were not out.

So, the crucial software and defense systems were removed by US contractors.. Don't think that happens elsewhere, to customers who have paid good money..

Almost certainly bs, put out by Pakistani apologists for the Taliban wishing to discredit those running away. The US doesn’t pick up random people and they certainly are being taken directly to the US, nor will someone just get a phone and call up his family, a give away if any. Good for a laugh but bs.

And you have been on this forum long enough to do what others can't?

And for someone who was saying some time back that we can't say anything to the US, because we didn't send our troops to Afghanistan to die as we should have, your concern for India's security rings hollow, though the frivolity over military contractors doing illegal things is explained.

And read up a little bit on Blackwater, before clutching your pearls to defend Uncle Sam. Ever heard of the Nisour Square Massacre? Yeah, look it up. They weren't "paid" to do that, their own country punished and prosecuted them and cut off all contact with them after that. Seems relevant to bring it up now that they are making money off of people's corpses again.

And who's giving a free pass to anybody? Nothing would please me more if we built an arms industry in the country to rival that of the US and obliterate Pakistan in the most absolute way. But I'm not stupid enough to become Uncle Sam's lapdog and wear his chains while trying to remove the chains of jihadis and Pakistan off of me.

We have to figure out how to do this now that we no longer have access to Helmand and Kandahar. The BLA and etc. are going to relocate to Sistan-Baluchistan province in Iran, but the Iranians aren't just going to let us in because Baloch nationalists are a threat to Iran as well.

Putin might not be interested in handing over all of Afghanistan to Batmunchers. Either he gets a cut or nobody does, and CIStan countries will be his levers.
Modi ji ne bhi mauka dekh ke bandook order kar diya. Putin bhi soch mein pad gaya hoga

Apparantly the contractors were being paid on an hourly basis, which forced them to put in the long hours to pull out everything rather than just blowing up the damn thing. What nonsense

Afghanistan and Pakistan are not connected to our national interests. Strategically they do not exists for us. Pakistan has been slapped so badly that now they openly say that we will first focus on our economy and then try to engage given if there is change in political guard in India.
Both very much are connected to our national interest. Unstable or out of our control AfPak costs us 10s of billions of $ every year. Import/Export are of strategic business interest to any country.
Current government has decoupled these rats after giving them quite a long rope including our PM visited them in-person and allowed them to do so called investigation inside one of our key Air base.
Our PM visited them in person, without following protocol. Further, in that meeting, it was only Nawaz Sharif from their side n PM, NSA, Foreign Secretary SJ from Indian side. Fast forward.... Nawaz Sharif in London, Afghan NSA met Nawaz in London. Some connection...
Taliban is phenomenon which our policy makers think is beyond their controls or they simply do not want to handle it. We know Taliban will be contained within Afghanistan boundaries for a very long run and they will extend their borders back into Pakistan and render those areas poor in every HDI marker that will further become a net loss to whatever Pakistan earns.
Indian policy makers are both controlling it and handling it. How else do you think that Indian evacuations are the smoothest ones going on?
Nobody is under the impression that they r going to be restricted to Afghan boundary. The Talis.... they just morph into ISIS, Al Qaeda n so on. Extend their borders to Pakistan the Pashtun Taliban will.
