Brits takes dig at its biggest ally

...
Jane Ferguson

@JaneFerguson5

1. The #BritishMilitary here at #KabulAirport have shown breathtaking levels of toughness, professionalism and - rare in war times I must say - compassion. I've been moved to tears by their actions, diving into dangerous crowds to pull visa-holders into the base....

Let's see if western nations impose any cost on Pakistan.. I am sure they won't punish Pakistan...
US possibly won't. UK can't due to its internal politics of Islamic sycophancy directed at pandering the Muslim votebank. The best bet would be to engage with partners in EU. France may come onboard, plus some nations if India can lobby- the GSP+ status can be taken away. Once that's off the cards, introduce a PLI scheme for textile exports.

They are not slow learners damn it.. The Americans have been running the world's most powerful empire in history for 70 years.. Its been more than 15 years since US establishment knew what Pakistan was up to.. These US think tankers just act as if US is innocent in all this.. But, the cold hard fact has always been that the US would rather cede Afghanistan to the Taliban and face humiliation, than punish Pakistan. As @Ayushraj said, the US still depends on Pakistan to keep India unbalanced. US also wants to have some proxy influence in Central Asia ( given bad relations with Iran and Russia ) via Pakistan
Pakistan good times will continue with USA no matter what mischief they do until Iran is toppled. I’m sorry their interference with Afghan will not change their stats quo relation with them until Paki establishment directly challenge them. Why do you want to punish a useful whore? Handing over to Taliban might have some strategic calculations, but who going to get whipped is the million dollar question.USA needs war/conflict to assert their supremacy.

Taliban has sex with dead bodies, reveals Afghan woman who came over to India

Her life was threatened by the Jihadist group as a consequence of which she had to leave her job and flee the country.

They wear trendy cloths, eat ice creams, hold press conferences, dance a beat & now ... (look above)

Surprisingly we haven’t seen any action from ISIS, the chaos at the airport is the juiciest, low risk, target for some er... as the paxi say cylinder action.

This is quite the anomaly.
I heard news of some ISIS K cells hitting telebunnies in Nangarhar (not sure about the location. Read it offhand) but nothing else.
Did hear rumors of them trying to hit the airport but that, again, is not validated it seems.

After the Pul e Charkhi prison break, they should've started their shit.

Prolly consolidating, counting on internal dissent, the new NA and Telebunnies themselves infighting to destabilize Taliban's current hold to express themselves.

Make no mistake, Telebunnies hate ISIS and likewise.
They might accept ANA and even ANA SF prisoners but they'll behead each other even if they surrender.
Quite the weird dynamic, I must say.

Yes, if the Iran/US stalemate were broken the situation would be different.

Unfortunately US unilaterally withdrew from the multinational nuclear agreement, cooling relations with Iran. Trump had a very bad habit of going back on US multinational agreements. He did not seem to give a f*ck about any problems he created for any other country.

You've got it partly correct. It's not really the jihadis from the outside but the jihadists from the inside, meaning there are hardcore extremist factions mostly Deobandis within the Pak Army who are waiting for an opportunity to attempt a coup within and take over the reins of the Pak Army with the help of jihadist organizations where they will then have complete control of the nukes. And that's what's alarming! If you remember, a couple of months ago 17 Pak officers including a Maj Gen, a brig and cols all hardcore jihadists were picked up by Pak Mil Int and detained for suspicion of trying to attempt a coup!! They'll probably be shot or incarcerated for life.

So that's the danger, not the jihadists from the outside as it will be near impossible for them to take over Pak's nuke arsenal without inside help.
In a situation like that what will be our strategy?
A military led by jihadist shouldn't be as effective as a professional one.

Need to keep an eye on who exactly have been co-opted for image makeover of Taliban.
Notice the authors, me thinks feminist activist journalists under CAIR are being used for this purpose.

In the press conference too first question from al-jazeera was on women, majority of talking points in western countries are about safety of women and girls under taliban not safety of people under taliban, as if men don't matter.

Interesting revelation.
Weird, ain't it? A militia scares them more than the Army ever did.
Probably don't want to be on the receiving end of the HR violations like they did to the ANA soldiers.

Yes, @Mikesingh sir, would love to hear your take on such a scenario.

I'd assume it'd be best not to let them consolidate lest they actually be found to be an effective fighting force and nip the bud before it blooms.
No one likes those kind of surprises.

Many fighter jets were captured .. But whether they have pilots to fly them or nt cant be said .... I have seen 2 videos whr it was claimed talib fighter was flying a helicopter
Dude, I'll die of laughter if telebunnies end up flying planes and carrying out airstrikes.

Not gonna happen, even if some ANDSF pilots defect.
Packies will have to loan their precious pilots to do such a thing, and inevitably get blacklisted.
The entire image of Telebunnies carrying out airstrikes is Tom n Jerry level of comedy gold for me.

Few of the pilots and operators would have defected/ forced to defect.

Even if Taliban somehow manages to fly any jet or helicopter, either with defected ANA pilots or even Pakistani pilots, they will be immediately shot down by NATO.
